Yes, a month or two ago I went around /tg/ and /cgl/ exploring the concept. /cgl/ indicated that an Elemental costume would be quite similar to making Master Chief armor (resin, hard foam being the best methods) and /tg/ provided more then a few fine reference images for a Mechwarrior's outfit. It's just the nerohelmet (which comes in a few varieties, so you can choose) and the cooling vest, so all in all it shouldn't be a hard project.

My problem with the Elemental armor is simply that it is too large. I've a fairly small build, much more suited to aerospace or mechjock. And yeah, a good set of mesh boots, hot pants, a cooling vest, and a neurohelmet, and I'd be good to go. I'm looking for a decent set of patches for a flight jacket.
If you do start an elemental project PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep a work-in-progress blog on it. I'd love to see.
