I was also surprised at how feweople were there but I thought today was so much fun, I had a great time... The rides were such a good idea. The band from Japan was really good! I'm definitely going back next year.

I didn't take any pictures though... There wasn't much cosplay that impressed me.

Supah happy hat I saw corky! <3

Just got back to my hotel room for the night. Today was reeeally fun. The alpha panel was funny and informative. The carnival rides were great. Corky and I went on the spider looking ride and had a blast.

The dealers room was decent. The Batman burlesque was pretty fun actually. Catwoman man, Lady Riddler, and Mr. Freeze were delightful. The Japanese band whose name I always forget Bespa... something had pretty solid music. Both raves were alright, different djs and varied music.

All in all SOLID day 1 and I hope it keeps up in day 2.

I just missed the alpha panel. So the guys running it weren't total PUA douches?

I bailed on the Batman burlesque because of the repeated delays so that I could go play Dick Or No Dick.

I didn't see a Con Bravo post on the first five or so pages. Does anyone know what their attendance is like? I hope they do well enough to survive another year when they can avoid this scheduling conflict with Atomic.

    Finally!
I went there on SAT and noticed how few people there were. Either the convention had little promotion or everyone in Toronto went to see Caribana instead. Its a nice little con. The staff there was alright and Serving hamburgers + drink was a good idea.

What this convention needs right now is more promotion.

This. The con was very solid. Just wish more people knew about it. It had a good atmosphere and a little bit of something for everyone.

I just got back from the con. Today was a little bit slower. I went to the cosplay general panel, I wish they had more actual tips. "First, pick a character". durr

Also went to My Little Panel, a 2 hour long MLP panel, and it was great. Talked about hidden frames, hilarious youtube closed captions, old MLP, favourite ponies, watched some eps. It was all round great.

I also won a pair of those furry raver leg warmer things and some photographer gave me a bead bracelet that says PLUR. Came with no rave gear, left with some. I can deal with that.

Did anyone go to the lolita stuff? Them advertising stuff liek twylight bs was too much of a turn off to even bother. I want to know if it was decent though.

It was actually pretty decent. The lolita fashion show could have been more entertaining (I didn't enter, as an audience member it was sort of boring tbh) but the prizes were actually really nice even without the Twilite stuff, my friend won a prize and she got 3 really nice coffee table books. And the general j-fashion runway was a lot of fun, that was better than the lolita one. The lolita panel was small (it was at the same time as the masqurade...) but it was really good.

I think next year people are going to be trying to get more fashion stuff going on, since everything went pretty well this year. hopefully with better sponsors.

Japanese headliner blasting music while rolling down the convention halls in a giant mobile tank/DJ booth that was brought inside from the outdoor rave.

    That is all.

Awesome con. I've never been to an event with that much random shit happening everywhere. It wasn't a huge venue but they had many different areas with different things going on. There were the regular indoor convention rooms (panels, dealers room, gaming etc) but also all the hallways were packed with cool stuff and there was stuff happening in like three different outdoor areas.

I chatted with one of the organizers and he said that their goal was to pack as much fun activity into one weekend as they could and they're trying to "break the mold" of how an anime con traditionally works. It sounded like marketing bs to me but generally this event was unique and awesome so I think they're on to something here. I'll go again.

That doesn't sound right at all. I was at CB! on Saturday (it was OK. didn't come back for Sunday)- there couldn't have been more than 300 people there total. Got a source on that number?

Wow. SUPER regret going to conbravo over this. Ended up leaving early on Saturday and giving my pass away. It was more than a little underwhelming. Will not make the same mistake next year.
