    Hey /cgl/!
When you go to an anime convention for a weekend, what are you SURE to bring? Do you bring first aid? A lucky charm? Your DS? A book? Certain food? ANYTHING!

I was just curious if anyone had anything interesting they brought with them or if they brought something they never thought would help them out in a sticky situation! :)

Lots of food and even more water. You're gonna need it.

Money and my phone, maybe a print-out of the con's schedule and a map.

I don't like taking a bunch of things with me.
Did that at my first con, brought a huge bag half-full of useless stuff. It was annoying.

Phone, camera, easy make/healthy food, bottled water, aspirin, ear plugs/eye mask, band aids and several shoe options. I've had shoes I thought would be totally comfortable be killing me in an hour at a con before...

Aside from the basics (make-up kit, hygiene kit, sewing kit) and my costumes, extra clothes, etc..

    Misc Items
    > Duct tape (for anything and everything)
    > Safety pins
    > Tide to Go/bleach pens (saved me a ton of times)
    > Febreeze
    > Ballerina slipper style shoes (They're easy to stuff in a bag and great if you're wearing uncomfortable shoes and need a break, available in Walmart)

    Foods & Supplies
    > Breakfast bars
    > Oatmeal
    > Plastic bowls/spoons/forks
    > Trail mix
    > Dried fruit (Mmm...mango slices)
    > Mini-pack cereal (usually the hotel if it has a shop with drinks will have bottled milk)
    > Juice packs
    > Can opener

The can opener is a bit of a funny story actually and I never used to bring one before then. My friend who I roomed with is big on bringing food for the whole room and this year she had brought her rice cooker and gotten some canned chicken so we could have dinner. She packed everything from food to supplies...but no can opener. It's the middle of the night, we don't know of any stores around that would still be open and have can openers so we ended up calling the girl that was arriving the next morning and she brought her can opener from home. So yeah, now I bring my own mini can opener just in case.

Easy-cook food. Stuff like pot noodles, breakfast bars, microwaveable things if there's one in the hotel room.
