I have accepted a challenge to build a whole costume in the hotel before Saturday. I'll have all the tools/supplies to do it, and I have my main costume (wrapping it up now) no matter what.

But man... it should be interesting.

Last minute? I still have to do all these little things that shouldn't take me too long but are quite vital. I'm hoping I don't screw up. I'm working for the next few days, getting supplies and stuff the next day, and baking some cookies for people before needing to pack somewhere between all of that. I'll be freaking out like a headless chicken yet derping around on the internet all the while

I am also interested in this type of thing. I would usually just take the light rail into the city, but I'd rather not do that with a decent size bag that would make me look like a good target for a mugging. I definitely, don't want to do it while in cosplay.

Aside from that, I'm just reusing a costume and taking it easy. I just moved recently, so it isn't worth the stress to try for something new.

I had some previous plans to cosplay, but thanks to procrastination and the fear of doing a half-assed job on it, I think I might not dress up at all.

I'm still fighting with the Minmay cosplay I'm wearing for my panel. If all is lost, I have another Minmay cosplay to wear. I'm also doing another cosplay to surprise my best friend.

Otakon crunch is always hell for me because I always end up having to move at the end of July. WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF. But I'm moving tomorrow and then I need to sew my FeMC skirt and my boyfriend's Shinji coat and touch up paint on all my props. I should be ok since I'll have 3 sewing days and I work super fast when I need to.

But just to be safe I'm going to cut out all the pieces and pleat my skirt tonight. Maybe even cut out the coat pieces since I have them mostly drawn out.

I'm making progress, it's just that one thing is taking WAAAAAY longer than expected. Dead Master's claws.

Okay, so at the Otakon, there's evidently going to be a cosplay shoot at 3 pm on Friday for some Tenchi Muyo cosplayers, which I wanted to go take pictures of since it was basically my first anime... Problem is, at the same time there's a Q&A session for my favorite voice actress at the same time. .

This was a WIP picture; I glued the Eva headpieces to the headband after it was taken.

Also, I'll be doing cosplay videos, so I'll be asking random cosplayers if they want to be filmed.

If y'all haven't seen it, I posted a pic of my Evoker prop for Otakon. It's a water pistol and does have an orange tip, but I checked the weapon rules and it was kinda unclear about it.

2: I booked a room for myself, the thing said "1 room, 2 people per room", so I asked my friends if they needed one. One is coming down, but she's bringing another...I don't want to be thrown out.

The hotels really don't care about too many people in a room. Hell people stuff 10 in and never even get a warning. Mainly because they know people will do it anyway and they're making more regardless. If a large group trashes the room then they can charge extra.

I am ALMOST finished my friend's wig. I just bought my train ticket for when I have to leave. My Otakon is cut short, so I'll only really be there on Thurs and Fri. So I hope I can see everyone there!

The way it tends to work in rooms I'm in is everyone keeps most of their stuff in single piles by their suitcases. Anything that tends to be put elsewhere (wigs on wigheads, costumes on hangers, etc) is usually self-explanatory whose is what.
