I come to 4chan to say whatever I want. I'm not mean or anything, even when anonymous, but I definitely do NOT want anything I post associated with me. I post useful things a lot and sometimes think about becoming a tripfag then, but I'd be tripping just so people can form a nice opinion of me. That seems so stupid, so I refrain.

Joking aside, though, I can kind of understand the need for trips (or names at the very least) on a board for the discussion of something as... visual(? I can't think of the right word) as cosplaying and lolita. Knowing names and faces is in all technicality an important part of being in these types of communities, so some people might find it necessary to use a name/trip/whatever for recognition.

That being said, /this/ is an anonymous image board community, and trying to stand out when the very purpose is anonymity is kind of a dick move.
