i've worn a bun-style wig before (self styled ) and i learned some techniques for making sure your hair doesn't escape.
the first thing is that all the wigs of that style (pulled up) on ebay or purchased are super tiny :\
sew toupee clips EVERYWHERE. i mean, all over the inside of the brim. the more clips, the more secure.
make
sure your have your hair in a wig cap or however, but like what you're
getting here is because your hair has slipped out of your wig and your
wig cap.
when i did a bun i had a character with silver hair, and
i have really wispy pale hair, so i had all these nasty wispy hairs at
the bottom of my bun. so i got a friend to shave the nape of my neck so
all those wispy hairs are gone, and because the fit was so tight, we
went up by about 1cm.
in the end i had a wig i wore through a whole day at at a con and a photoshoot later and i never had any hairs escape :)
but now i don't have any wispy hairs at the back of my neck, so not sure i'd recommend that one.... |
