I was wondering how you guys view non cosplayers at cons. I've been to Nekocon twice but I've never dressed up or made up a name to put on my badge or anything. It's not that I just go to cons to mill around mindlessly, but I am a bit shy and don't really feel comfortable dressing up. At the very least I will wear something subtle or anime related.

Hopefully this won't be seen as a shitpost, but is it disheartening to see people who are not dressed up? I respect the time and effort some people put into their costumes, I just don't have the same level of dedication and skill as others I suppose.

There's nothing at all wrong with not cosplaying, it's totally fine. Frankly, it's better than doing a really half-assed cosplay or generally wearing something you're not happy with. No con has 100% cosplayers, but sometimes it seems that way because the cosplays grab your attention more than the plainclothes people do.

I have bad skin problems and my makeup techniques are a little lackluster. This picture is a little old also, my hair faded back into it's strawberry-blonde ginger glory. Any tips or suggestions for improvement?

I normally put on a pink lip gloss but I'm not really sure if it helps since it's a light shade. I don't have any on in the picture either. Should I go with more darker colors?

Today has just been a bad day of letting God peer pressure me into stuff.

1. Wore this on July 4th to a family thing - I had a different outfit planned but I wore it to different family party the day before. I was planning to just wear it again but then my mom told me there were going to be some of the same people at the 4th gathering as the previous day, sooo I had to throw together something in about 15 minutes before we left. Not my best but it worked!

2. Ffff I hate my hair. I got it cut a few weeks ago and I have no idea why I asked for face framing, I always think it looks awful on me after I get it, buuut I got it again. Idk. I usually think it's dumb when people have "cosplay idols" and are obsessed with other cosplayers but I LOVE looking at all of your pictures of all of your costumes even when I don't what they're from. Honestly? Not sure, I just grabbed it from my closet on a whim. It's actually full dress, then I layered the brown shirt over it. The white is another skirt I layered underneath. Like I said I had to rush to put it together so it was just a matter of, "Okay, is it family-acceptable? Yes? Good, let's go."

But I do like pairing bright colors with earthy tones, otherwise I feel like the outfit's too dark for me.
