Are you insane? Unless you can benchpress 2 times your weight, do NOT think of walking around with metal, especially sheet metal features like that. If you must insist on it, aluminium sheeting can easily be managed with household tools, distressed and painted over with some black to emulate ageing, but it's far easier to paint craft foam works for a realistic metallic finish, as well as much better to wear around.

You've never walked with even a little sheeting of metal stuck on you, have you? As you move around the edges dig into flesh, it forces your gait to be awkward as it restricts movement and screw up your body's weight distribution, it obviously doesn't breathe so it gets hot and sweaty underneath. The weight pulls at the fabric and the seams because there's no real way to attach metal to fabric, overall it gets to be quite the disaster.

Carrying something in your hand and wearing it is different. If metal sheeting was such a good fucking idea, the military wouldn't be dropping millions into improving kevlar.
