07/06/11(Wed)23:39 No.4685942Pretty much everyone claiming to have helped run a con is spot on about Vic.
He's
incredibly self-centered, thinks he's the shit, and wants things to be
ran his way. I help run a small convention, and we decided that between
those qualities, cost, and a few other personal differences and decided
against getting him. It was for the better though, we got someone
better, who has helped us build a sort of business relationship in
getting a good variety of other people in the industry.
On a
business note, getting Vic will actually sometimes LIMIT who else you
can bring in. There are people in the industry that hate him and refuse
to be in the same area as him. For example, my convention this year had
Eric Vale, where we not only spent a fair amount of time making fun of
Vic, but he also told us about the time he refused to go to a convention
that Funimation was willing to pay him to go to, simply because it
meant that he would have to be with Vic. There are some people that
don't like him that much.
Outside of the business aspect, yeah, he's a nice guy, just a religious nut, creep and a total douchebag.
>>4685880 I
would assume so. Speaking with Eric Vale, he was pretty honest in
saying that he casted for America by giving his best impression of Vic
Mignogna, only doing better. Apparently Vic tried to demand from the
director that he be cast as America, and was told, in nicer words, to
fuck off. |
