>implying either of you know shit about what would define a model
The
ones being laughed at are you, truly. Just take a look at the
ModelMayhem forums if you don't believe me. The reactions to the "she's
not a reeeal model" sentiment range from outrage at ignorance to pure
unbridled laughter.
Professional does not mean only on runaway,
makeup commercials, and magazines (type most visible on TV and commonly
referred to). It refers to compensation from the act.
She's modeling clothing. She's a model.
I really wish some of you would take a moment to either do some very simple research or stick your head out of boxes. Those old men in your art classes? They are models. It's a fairly simple concept. Don't extend it to what you believe the qualifications are to meet your standards.
mod·el n. 6. One that serves as the subject for an artist, especially a person employed to pose for a painter, sculptor, or photographer. 7. A person employed to display merchandise, such as clothing or cosmetics. |
