  there's
a difference inbetween brutal honesty over the internet. It wasn't just
the fact that she was making these 'cosplays' by not putting forth even
the least amount of effort, i.e., 'cosplaying' Rena without any effort
to dye her hair or at the very least wear even semi-accurate clothes,
nor any props, but ALSO that she was submitting them to communities
where that sort of completely casual shit has no place. Honestly, these
people are just telling her the truth, not cyberbullying.
  Cyberbullying
is when people dox people and get all of their personal contact
information, and then continue to harass them in person in the form of
actual threats, regardless of whether they even continue the behavior
that instigated it, whether it existed or not.
  Something like
this isn't cyberbullying, it's brutal honesty that can only be supported
by things such as anonymous image boards, because then, people can stay
anonymous, rather than risk saying things that make other people think
"that's mean >:(!!!!" when you know that half of them probably
secretly agree with whoever said whatever brutally honest comment that
they did.
tl;dr: suck it up, there is nothing wrong with what /cgl/ did here. |
