1,
Cosplayer is wearing something modest. Cosplay is all about being the
next Jessica Nigiri and showing some skin. That outfit covers up way too
much.
2. Girl is smiling. No time to smile as this is supposed to be serious business.
3. Photo is taken at a convention. This is grade A stupid, why would you go and cosplay a Japanese character at an anime con.
4.
From what I can gather that character is from Touhou and we all know
how obscure Touhou is in the world of cosplay. Geez why can't she pick
something more popular.
5. The girl is having fun, similar to her
smiling. It's all about being absolutely miserable in our costumes and
bitching at everyone around us.
6. She's cosplaying from
something she likes. Wow, way to waste your time actually enjoying the
source material. All those hours could have been spent making facebook
groups and fan webpages about yourself.
7. She's not doing a Yuri
pose. How else is she going to attract the attention of all the
neckbeards at the con? If you think you're gonna do that by having a
great costume then you're lying to yourself. You better start munching
on carpet and slobbering up the girl next to you or else you're gonna
die alone in the world of cosplay.
8. The cosplayer looks
friendly. WHAT?! Nice people in my conventions! You're like the Jesus
protesters at Fanime, you simple don't belong with our kind!
9.
Other people in the shot are just RUINING the picture. If your costume
can't clear a hallway and make people get out of your way then you're
not trying hard enough.
10. No gigantic weapons and wings. Where
are the buster swords, the super huge angel wings, the giant suits of
robot armor? Cosplay outfits should run at least a thousand dollars.
Screw being thrifty, attention is priceless but you need to drop some
major cash in order to get some. |
