Hey guys, the 8th Fullmetal Alchemist comes out in English next month! This is so cool! I'm going to cosplay Paninya in a couple months!

So I've been checking out this webcomic, it's about countries doing silly things. It's not very well known and the outfits are pretty close to regular uniforms.

Think it's too obscure to cosplay, it's just a webcomic afterall. I asked around a few friends at the last con but nobody heard of it.

I was on the cusp of becoming a mega-weab, I watched a lot of anime, I played Square/Square-Enix games almost religiously, and I wanted to redecorate my room to look like a japanese room. I made a couple friends on the first day of school but they quickly ditched me for reasons unknown, so I made other friends, who ended up ditching me two years later anyways.

Then it happened. I discovered Dir en Grey and my life was changed. No longer was I the quiet normal kid with a lot of interest in japanese things, I was a rabid weaboo, and I was discovering yaoi as well.

It was all downhill from there. 2006 was the year of the annoying bitch for me.

A few weeks ago at a con a fat chick punched me in the boob and grabbed my boyfriends ass while yelling that Sakura didn't deserve Sasori and I should get my slut self away from "Danna". Her posse followed us for the next 6 hours to make fun of me and try to get grabby with my boyfriend until one of them actually managed to succeed, and I grabbed her arm so hard and shook it while hissing at her to never touch anything that belongs to me ever again that it left a perfect hand shaped mark. I guess that made her decide that I was dangerous and they left us alone.

I was shocked at a friend who wanted to do Winry work uniform -- The top's like a swimsuit!

2006 was a very different time for /cgl/. Most posters were typical 4channers that were just interested in seeing sexy cosplay photos and people where essentially told to gtfo once in a blue moon when a lolita topic was made. People from cosplay.com would occassional come to tell people to stop posting pictures of them or their friends since they were being posted without permission. And everyone hated Kipi with a passion since you couldn't have a single thread without her pics invading it.

Eventually the pull of attention whoring caused the cosplayers to gravitate here and gossip inanely about themselves which caused the picture threads to dry up and the 4channers to leave. And eventually the lolitas fro Livejournal discovered here and has since made /cgl/ their homebase of operations. Board was made worksafe because of lolitas complaining about seeing porn ads and now there aren't even any mods since they essentially said "Okay, this board is just clique nerd drama nobody cares about. Im out, see ya later."

/cgl/ was basically just a failed experiment by Moot to get the Japanese clothing threads out of /fa/ and /jp/.
