Aaargh...I love beading and would like to make this "kandi" as one calls it, but I've heard there's a lot of stigma about "kandi" ravers. Is it still acceptable to make and wear kandi or would you get shunned/dirty looks at a rave?

I used to make such kickass stuff as a tween... I would like an excuse to make more now that I'm older.

I mean, anywhere you go peeps are looking to get fucked. I prefer not to, um, bc it's PUBLIC, but yes, there are drugs. But no more than you'd find at say, a rock concert. And events range from ALL AGES to 21+ events. I like my events to be at LEAST 18+, so that if I do decide to indulge in drugs or alcohol and I do by chance get out of control, I don't have to worry about accidentally banging a 16 yr old...btw, this has never happened before. =P

Just so you know, before RVA had events, I used to drive the 2 hrs to DC every weekend to dance...sometime 3 hours to Bmore. I still do it a lot, but it's nice to have events near me now. Bring the edm scene TO YOU. That's what my crew did. It's worth the drive btw. Music is life. In fact I'm going out tonight. DOOOO EEEEET!

Hey guys. Need some advice. I plan on wearing my kigurumi to a rave shoot since anything goes. I'll be wearing this sky blue wig I have and a matching facemask. Any suggestions to make my outfit more rave-ish?

I was thinking about that. I just don't know if I'll have the time or resources to make some with the fact that I'm so behind on my cosplays.

My advice. Don't wear the wig. Holy shit after dancing for a few hours it gets ITCHY. Is kigirumu a cosplay? Never wear cosplay to a rave unless you wanna never wear it again. Trust me. Shit gets sweaty. Peeps spill shit on you. Idiots fling glowstick liquid. etc. To rave anything up, accessories. Kandi. Bracelets. Brightly colored bandannas.

I actually ended up in a rave while in my kigurumi last year (long story, unrelated to thread). It's actually not too bad. If I get hot, I'll roll my sleeves and legs up and I always wear cooler clothes underneath. As for stains, that I am a little worried about so I may actually skip out on wearing it to the rave. Since the shoot is before the rave, I was going to run back to my room real quick like and take the wig off (and the kigu depending on how I feel).
