From my experience, most quite a few tripfags don't even talk about what the general topic is. I come here to do possibly meet-ups, but I dont start making threads based all around me or something. At most, of going off topic, I do stories or some jazz like that. I prefer to see cosplay threads and all, but there seems to be a lack and more vendetta/based around one tripfag or something like that nowadays. But hey, what can you do?

For the most part that is true as we haven't gotten as many picture threads lately though the "pictures that tell a story" thread did amazingly well. In general the two threads for photos that get filled up are Touhou threads and /co/splay threads. In terms of random discussion we had a good set of vocaroo threads going though they stopped.

there's a graph which correlates between stupidity and tripfags. As you may tell, going to /sci/, tripfags are rare and those who do use a trip is easily recognized for any bullshit they may spout. you could say those who trip there, are pretty dam smart. the same could be said with /lit/

I trip for networking purposes. I hang with a fair number of peeps from this board irl, and its easier to know who is who at a meetup if they use a trip.

Tripfags talk amongst themselves like it's AIM and expect the rest of us to care. And when they help out in threads (once every three years) they say, "WE HALP IN THREADS TOO!" all the while shitting up the board on a daily basis.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. There are a lot of trips that are very very helpful, but since they're not usually attention-grabbing whores, you just don't notice them as much.

Then there are the ones that post their face and bodies in as many non-cosplay related threads as possible. They usually garner the most attention because they force it down your throat.
