And yeah, betting the sateen that apparently is not in stock will be what I want. The Crepe de shine would be sheer, where as the voile would be similar or have an awkward texture.

Well somebody posted a picture of a lolita drawing, I think, and I believe Kiwi posted an image of what would later become derpy-chan.
After a few back and forth images of derpy, /cgl/ fell in love with the little guy and he become a mascot.
It all went wild from there.

It really was just a random horse plush in a drawing. An anon singled it out and turned it into silly macros, and everything spiraled from there. Derpy-chan's not meant to be taken seriously in the slightest.

I think part of what's so appealing about Derpy-chan is that it is SO goofy and over the top that it serves as a parody not only of SUPER SRS lolitas but of itself.

Personally, I also like Derpy-chan because he/she/it is a kind of mascot where you can see someone with a Derpy-chan skirt or something and go "you're a seagull!" There is the appeal of the social aspect of our own secret mascot club.

I'm sorry if I'm not making sense, but the way I figure it is that Derpy-chan's one of those inside jokes that's meant to be silly and just for fun.

I could but spoonflower rules say it would not be available to buy until a swatch was ordered of it.
It's also a slippery slope to start modding stuff for a couple people.
I want you to have what you want and the only solution I could think of would be to mod the existing file to mirror while you ordered and received your fabric. Then change it back to normal after you got yours. But that would inconvenience anyone else who wanted to order the regular print at the same time you wanted your mirror print.
Could also potentially be a problem if someone ordered it, didn't read it was temporarily a mirror, get theirs, and complain to high heaven to Spoonflower about it. They would have to keep it cause it's not SP's fault they can't read.

I might have been a weird child or something because I learned when stuff would restock by the second so I can resell it for higher value. That's how I afforded to paint my pets and get a mutant draik (and get petpets and get them painted too).

My main account had an Angel Zafara, but later on I made a second account when the Yurbles came out. Painted him with the pyro/flames brush, then gave him the painter's beret & the wood paint swatch thing you hold in your hand.

When you purchase 1 yard (or however many) of fabric, do you get exactly that many inches? Or do they give you an extra inch at the end so no customer would complain it about it being 1/4" too short? Or do they give you a bit extra that would shrink away after the pre-wash?

I really like this, but lines need to be cleaned up. And Derpy-chan himself needs to be fixed. Line weight is important, and he's kind of really bolded in some areas and then really thin in others. It's a little bit unappealing.

Though I love the design and hope you tweak it, I would seriously buy it.

I'm amusing that the colors are just temp and will be changed. It's hard to give critique on something so unfinished like this but I will try my best.

Overall the design is nice, but there's one thing that just keeps sticking out to me. Upon further looking I think the edging behind the main design can be fixed and done in a more neat and consistent pattern. Right now that's the biggest thing that sticks out the most to me. But hoping to see a more finished piece soon.

Will people get mad at me if I submit designs I didn't draw to Spoonflower? I was thinking of making some Pokemon fabric with some of the images that were uploaded in an earlier fabric thread, but I have no idea who the original artists are and/or if they'd get mad at me for using their designs without their permission.
