My siblings (younger than me) used to cosplay with me. I started cosplaying back in 2004, and by 2005 we were all going to conventions together and cosplaying. For a while, I was making costumes for both of them.

My sister had about a year stint before she fell out of the cosplay and convention scene. She doesn't say anything bad about me cosplaying unless she's in a pissy mood, in which case she tells me to grow up.

My brother fell out of cosplaying and conventions for a while, but he's slowly getting back in to it. In general my little brother can be odd though. Our younger sister (the youngest sibling in our family) got involved with an abusive guy once and he blames himself a lot for never realizing and stepping in to do anything about it until she had suffered pretty badly (after she came home one night with bruises though he beat the guy pretty badly).

As a result of all that, he's really, really protective of both of us now, and is kind of convinced that any guy we see, even as friends, is some kind of predatory animal. He's also convinced that women are gullible and can't protect themselves from those types of guys.
