That's why the animation style >looks like current Nekoi-style
design. And that's >why everyone thinks its CLAMP, but it's not.
>I
am a diehard CLAMP fangirl, and I will cut a bitch over Sakura, and it
seriously bothers me when I run a CLAMP panel and everyone wants to talk
about Geass. And then when I bring up Wish, Clover, and RG Veda, they
have no fucking clue. Gah. >/rant
back
in the day I used to do Clamp panels, before it was published in the
US, had a master list of ISBNs for every Japanese series, some guy
dressed as Luffy who kept asking annoying questions says to me "Isn't
Card Captor Sakura like Pokemon?"
"Actually if you want to get
technical, Angelic Layer is more like Pokemon." the entire female
audience agreed and he never asked a question afterwards
I also
really enjoyed playing the Wish Video, The Male Fanmade CCS Opening
video, and then the Clamp in Wonderland video to soften the blow.
Good times.
Don't
knock Nekoi, the style is gorgeous, half of CCS is Nekoi, Suki Dakara
Suki is Nekoi, and my favorite of all Clamp manga, Wish is Nekoi, Legal
Drug and xxxHolic is when she really grew out of the Mokona style. I
like her earlier works, but I can live with her new elongated style. Its
more sketchy as opposed to Mokona's cleaner style |
