Dude,
after seeing how much pain you were in, I really don't doubt you won't
do that again. Are you OK today? I bruised my feet...
Anyway, I
got on the float this year in an outfit of which I can find no good
pictures (and in which I look like a lot more of a whale in photos than I
did in person... fuuuu). I had the most amazing time acting like a
total celebrity THEY LOVE ME diva on there and waving and grinning and
blowing kisses at the crowd. Selfish stuck up bitch material, yes, but
it was REALLY FUN.
As for favorite costumes I saw there... hands
down the three costumes I liked the most were Laura's Panty (even if the
poor girl's outfit took a severe wind beating and some of the other
float people had to brace her for hills or wind gusts), PL's armor
(haters gonna hate, it still looks pretty fucking awesome IRL), and I
don't know her cosplay handle or have a picture of her (which also means
I have no idea how it photographed) but she was dressed as Kobato and
she pretty much made me die of HNNNGH. That outfit was covered in so
many details and so much absolutely GORGEOUS applique, she was adorable,
the parasol was covered to match the dress and it looked fantastic and
believable, and the sheer amount of accessories to match the costume she
had made just blew me away. That costume was like looking at bluebirds
and sunshine. |
