The new kids with tripcoded names are okay, but in the end they're still green when it comes around for con-time. Most people don't live up to their hype once you meet them in person, and that's when trips fall into obscurity or stop posting. If a tripcoded named person is annoying you, just wait it out until another major con.

That's usually what happens every year, watch. You can pose and be cool all you want on /cgl/, but awkward is awkward in person. Some people end up being not as cool as they seem on the internet, while others are surprisingly cool in person. How many times has /cgl/ made a thread about a con and went, "I met _____ tripfag, he/she was way awesome/lame."

Wait until the summer's over and things'll change again. The flip side of it is that from this, more new tripfags will come.
