I second the "don't expect people to fawn over you" thing
having
been to PAX East last year in cosplay, most people who do recognize you
(I was Neku from TWEWY) will go "oh cool!" or "I love that game!" and
keep walking. A handful will ask for pictures. If you're AMAZING you may get more pictures taken. But
for the most part, 90% or more people are in normal clothing doing
normal gaming stuff, so don't cosplay unless it's merely for your own
enjoyment. It's not really an anime thing, so I wouldn't suggest
wearing an anime outfit. Make sure it's from a video game (like other
here have said, it's game-gentric. it's video games, tabletops, and
penny-arcade (and some other comics) so that's pretty much the audience)
That
being said, hope to see you all there! It should be amazing. The
schedule is impressive! (a convention where the panels are worth going
to!? a convention where you aren't just standing in the halls waiting 3
hours for that one voice actor panel you kinda maybe want to go to cause
your friends are going!? a convention where you feel like a group of
friends and not a bunch of strangers thrown together randomly!? a DRAMA
FREE CONVENTION!? IT'S TRUE! xD)
I'll be Tycho and Scholar all
weekend. Saturday, if you see me around as Tycho, stop me to play Poker!
I'll have my cards on me!!! (especially if you're a Heavy Weapons Guy!
