A year or so ago, I had my own little Vendetta-chan.
I ignored the threads (I had done nothing wrong), and lo-and-behold, they went away.

Seriously, do nothing, otherwise you're instigating them to further mock you. They WANT a reaction, don't give it to them.

Of course, being relatively camera shy I don't take many pictures but I'm also fairly blunt and don't really care what people I don't like think of me so occationally I offend people (or I say something and they way I say it is taken as another thing) and usually we talk about it and fix it. But if they respond by insulting me or just by being a bitch, I try to just ignore it. Even if my feelings are hurt I don't fight back because I know that my group is pretty tight with each other so I try not to make people have to pick sides. Of course I don't always take the high road because I am human, but I'm lucky enough to have friends that know me and can help diffuse the situation if I get too emotional.

What if someone is spreading lies about you and brings it to /cgl/ for validation? I know a cosplayer who will not stop spreading false stories about me even though we are not friends and haven't spoken in years. If this person brought his beef to /cgl/ would it be wrong to call him out and ask him where he's getting this stuff when we haven't talked in forever? Or would that just back-fire?

There's this one really blantant vendetta chan who always attacks the same loli. Overall, people just didn't give a rat's ass because it was so obvious.

I've never been made fun of to the level of some people here, however I have been told I'm average, nothing special, etc. Which is fairly true when it comes to both lolita and cosplay. I haven't been serious about cosplaying for very long so I'm still improving, and I have fairly simple non-OTT sweet co-ords in lolita but I'm happy with them anyway! So I just read it and don't post anything.

Just don't take it personally and maybe you can use that criticism to your advantage to improve!

I usually assault anyone I know personally that try to be sneaky as fuck and start a drama thread about me.

Someone started a vendetta thread about me once. Once I was finished being boggled that anyone actually cared enough about me to hate my cosplays, I had a rollicking good time reading the thread and laughing my ass off.

/cgl/ is a hive of drama, but honestly, most people bring it on themselves by their behavior. The important thing is to ignore it. Don't post in it, don't try to defend yourself, and /cgl/ will get bored and move on. If you've actually fucked up, apologize sincerely and then move on.

Really, don't worry about it. Ignore it and it goes away very easily.

Depending on my mood or what the drama is, I either ignore the drama or join in on making fun of myself. Only /cgl/ knows how many nose jobs I have truly gotten!

I know that I have a vendetta-kun though, and well... once I learned who vendetta-kun was, it's not even funny anymore. It's just pathetic.

But I do agree with a bunch of the other posters in this thread that the best responses to drama are to laugh it off, ignore it, join in on trolling yourself, or (if you genuinely done goofed) to apologize clearly and simply and not do whatever it was you did wrong again.

Remember, anything posted on /cgl/ stays on 4Chan for a limited time...

...but it stays on easymodo FOREVER.

But it applies here as well. Also when it comes to apologizing (and I should know, done goof'd a bunch), apologize to who matters in private. Some people can't handle how much of a doggy dog world it is.

since i'm not so active(lurker in most of the cases), also don't go to cons, i doubt there'd be someone willing to make vendetta or drama with me..

but i think drama is delicious! especially if i'm bored and with low self esteem issues.

I actually didn't start hanging around /cgl/ until I had a vendetta chan posting threads about me. It was crazy upsetting at first until I decided that instead of letting it get to me I'd just make crazy outlandish claims about me, the drama, and whatever else.

By then I realized that drama is so much easier to handle if you just turn it all into a big huge joke.

ignoring it is the only appropriate reaction. and not just online, ignore it when brought up around other known /cgl/ers and tripfags. 'cause if you talk about it IRL it will get leaked online that it bothers you and that's why you ignore it.

Other than that , I ignore it, for the people that make up crap about you clearly have some form of vendetta about you; hell, you don't have to do anything to them and they can hate you.

I have a vendetta-chan who has made it their life's mission to fuck with me. They went so far as to take out a tripcode in my cosplay name so they could continue the drama without my presence on /cgl/
