I think the janitor steps in when the thread become COMPLETELY drama no other conversations going on. In the meowtan thread there were a few people commenting on her wigs and stuff, but pretty much everyone was discussing the dramu and it became a war between whiteknights and trolls and just utter shit.

I'd like to see the threadson the boards they belong. Trying to get ripped for cosplay? Your thread probably belongs on /fit/. Trying to cook healthier meals to lose weight? /ck/. Just because you're don't it for cosplay or lolita doesn't make it relevant to the board.

exactly. that's one of the problems with being told to post those threads on another board. if someone wants to hear from cosplayers, the best place would be /cgl/. posting on /fit/ just gets a bunch of testosterone-fueled "alphas" telling you to eat your oats and do your squats.

if you want those threads on other boards, those other boards need to be cleaned up, too.

that's not what i'm saying at all. i'm saying if it's a thread asking specifically about what CGL is doing to get in shape and eat healthy (or hell, any other topic), then making it on /fit/ or /ck/ doesn't make as much sense. yeah, the topic's more appropriate for those boards, but what if the OP and other people want to hear from lolitas or cosplayers specifically? not so much an advice thread but more of a survey/experience thread.

I have to say I'm a little concerned about threads that are legitimately useful being grouped in with "drama" and eliminated -- i.e. people talking about bad buyers/sellers on the egl_comm.

What I've seen get trashed thus far doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. Most of the comments I've seen have been deleted for what seems like stupid or capricious reasons (two comments will say essentially the same thing but only one will be trashed; a useful comment will be trashed because it has a curse word in it; shit like that).
