Yes, Megatoyko is not a well drawn comic, nor is the story wonderful. I like it, and I especially like the character Miho. She's really the best part of comic. It helps the clothing style is something I wish I could wear out and about.

Ok, I'm working on this too. For simplicity, I decided to concentrate on making the character recognizable rather than super accurate clothing-wise.

First I found a cosplayer who I think has done a great job at it. (See pic)

This is nearly a closet cosplay. I found some motorcycle boots at Endless.com. Got purple and black tights from Sock Dreams. Black leather miniskirt from some Amazon.com affiliate which I've altered to fit better. Dark purple sweater top, and black denim jacket from JCPenney. I'm altering the jacket into a short jacket similar to the art work you referenced. Waiting for mid length purple wig from Amphigory. I'll trim and style. Got black headband from a grocery store and will make the black choker myself.

I hope this helps. I'm going for something similar to the art work that the character might actually wear.

I've got some time, planning this for Otakon, which will let me stagger the purchases. But I figured it would be fairly easy.

Don't sweat it, altering stuff is easier than sewing from scratch most of the time. My main worry about doing Miho is makeup. I haven't had to deal with eye shadow and eyeliner to this point in other crossplays. But it should be fun!

Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to get the makeup right. Do this part right, and the transformation will be striking. You may not become an OMG kawaii desu little girl, but I'll bet you'll see your female relatives staring back at you from the mirror.

In that case, make sure the sleeves are long enough to extend over at least half the length of your hands, like in your OP pic and the cosplayer I posted. Covering the hands this way is also good for mtf cosplay in general because it hides the size of your hands.

Obviously, it's very much true that nothing's final yet. I've toyed with the idea of gluing them directly to the wig, which would be a difficult and messy affair, but the plan I have now is to put a very thin pipecleaner or wire between two ribbons, glue that, then very carefully do the wrap-around.

Damn comic book physics.

I just finished vol 6 myself. As for Invader Zim ref, I can see that, but at the larger cons like Otakon, there will be plenty of people who recognize the character as Miho.
