    Four more weeks till Otak...er Otabutt.

    2,000 serious people and 25,000 little kids will descend onto the BCC for three glorious days of an Anime Convention the largest on the East Coast. You think it will be great, but it gets worse my friends. See since this is the largest of the Anime conventions on the East Coast, people will be bringing their Florida drama, Georgia drama, Virginia drama, Pennsylvania drama, Maryland drama, New York drama, and even Ohio drama which will make this shit drama even worse. Thousands of kids will say "The Game" as a funny way to confuse others, buttscratcher will be pronounced, and trying to find Marco and Polo will be more important than finding Waldo or Carmen. Fire alarms will be pulled by Naruterds dancing to Caramelldansen and the Haruhi dance at the same time while the fire department arrives. People will complain about the $12.95 a day internet access at some hotels because they want to listen to Rick Astley's 'Never Going to Give You Up'. Vic Morgana will go after women as usual.

    With all of this, I heard this Con may be good. Alex Levitt from Boston who has done a few great panels at AB is hosting a few panels at Otakon and Home Made Kazoku will be performing.

    As a volunteer firemen and fellow 4channer (former /b/'er) please do not pull the fire alarms.For those that do not realize or think i's fun here is some insight on the reality here. We do our best to keep everyhitng in working and ready at a moments notice at the firestation each day because every second counts to save lives and property. As you may or may not be aware we have ~~40-60seconds to don our full firefighting equipment and then race down the streets preparing for th worst (fire, smoke inhalation victims, heartattacks via or not via fire related, etc) running lights as fast and safely as we can because WE TAKE EVERY ALARM SERIOUSLY. We don't say it in person but believe me for ever kid that pulls a fire alarm for fun we want to smack the kid up. I've been to a few cons before and thankfully it was on my R&R and I would like the rest of hte poeple to enjoy themselves. It would help us if people pointed out or have video or photo evidence of those that pulled the alarms.

    Thank you! I never knew until a few months ago about just how intense firefighting was with the lightning fast response times. A firefighter was talking to me about the stress of waking up super fast and going from sleep to full alertness can really stress the heart over time.

    I'm not sure how it is with Firefighters, but I know my uncle and cousin are volunteer EMTs and neither of them are in great shape, especially my uncle.

    I think there is some fitness requirements, especially when it comes to lifting and running, but I'm no sure what they are.
