So I've been in the Dealer's Hall most of the day, but I just got back from the Avatar the Last Airbender panel (which rocked). Shuttle service is fucking awesome, the weather is rad, and the bubble tea place has Thai Tea.

Met EDG and Maguma who are both totally cool dudes. Also met up with Misa and Katsu, who are also totally cool dudes (but I knew that already).

Yaoi guy is selling vuvuzelas, which people are buying enthusiastically and blowing throughout the con center. I prefer it to buttscratcher and chair, either way.

Last comic standing is going to be a very interesting show this year based off of what I saw last night. Debuted the Kimochi-G voice and debute a new crossplay outfit during the panel but people were a bit more "receptive" toward it than the staff anticipated. I'm real nervous about performing this year after seeing how much Fazio, Soap, Anton and Greg have improved their acts meanwhile I just lost my voice after hosting the Persona gathering on Friday. Things aren't looking too pretty to me.

Missed the Day 2 gathering as for some reason one of my blue contact lenses tore while I was wearing them so I had to go to the dealer's hall and by another pair before my shoot hence why I didn't show up. However the megaphone would have been useless as when I checked the batteries that morning I noticed that for some reason the corroded.

Still AX is party con for me as I'm having a great time just chilling with my friends and engaging in random acts of herp derping in the name of cosplay.

For some reason, despite being a smaller con, Otakon always has more and better cosplays than AX.

Otakon just has a higher amout of "fan energy" to the con with people putting in more effort to have fun. AX is almost like a swell of "con zombies", shuffling along through the hallways uninterestedly like it's a shopping mall.

It didn't used to be that way. I guess industrializing AX and making it into essentially just a corporate trade show has killed off a lot of the fan enthusiasm.
