If you're cheap, take the subway (the University Line) to Lawrence West station and then take the 58 bus west to Anime North. The crowds are huge, so you can't miss it.

If you don't mind spending four extra bucks, take the subway to Yorkdale station instead and take a much faster, more pleasant GO bus from there to the con. It goes on the highway, but you can request a stop right in front of the con, too. I don't know the number off hand, but there are GO people there who can help you at Yorkdale.

If you're biking it then screw the 58 Malton. Get off at Dixon & Kipling and ride ~1.5-2km WEST to the con. Way faster then waiting for the bus as it's all flat sprint land down there.

2. As you're in the 427 take inside to second inside lane.

3. Exit DIXON and turn LEFT

4. There is a driveway behind the TCC which most poeple seem to pass by but if you turn right into it it'll take you into the parking lot of the TCC and subsiquently (sp. it's easier for me with lake of sleepage) you can go to the TCC or drive on and go to the double tree hotel.

Well Kipling & Dixon is about 1.5clicks away now that I look at it again. It's within visual range. Catching all buses and according to a few people I spoke so I have a larger sample then one person is that it'll take around 1h-1h20mins to where you want to go. Obviously 1h is low traffic/vol. time. If you wanna take around 2hrs you're welcome to do that.

There is on fucking spring in Canada. Summer, Fall, Winter. There used to be spring when I was growing up but god damn it's too hot IMHO. 15C would be best. The rapid ramp up ot the hot sticky choaking summer weather is getting a lot of people as thye don't have the usual spring slooow acclimation to the heat. If you're off the Jamacian/Trinidad plane then ok you'll be at home but me I can't wait till night time for the temps to drop.

I say everone hit up the Canadian Tire or Walmart and get a hand held fan. Well any camping store would have it. Takes 2xAA.

Dood or dudette you may pending your outfit want to try something like having a thin camelbak inder you outfit with ice from the hotel or the ice water. Fill it half way and it'll conceal better under a flowly outfit. Easy to take in h2o that way.

Or if you're techie rip out or buy 1-2 5v small thin fans and get a 4xAA battery holder with batteries in it and a switch. Install under outfit and keep cool. Better if you have high.low modes to keep noise down.

I had a fucking awesome time!! I'm not an anime fan by any stretch; I only went on impulse, and because a few of my friends were going. And this was the first real con I've ever been too.

Withing two hours of showing up on Friday evening, 10 people had asked for a photo, and a random volunteer staffer gave me a "Hall Costume Award" ribbon.

The VALVe meetup today had WAY more people than I expected (which is another reason why I love TF2; we show up at every con, no matter what fandom). But there we, like, 6+ BLU engys and only 2 RED ones? WTF!?

I wasn't expecting any of this, and it really made my weekend!
