I really dislike how the lips were done in this makeup tutorial.

You could do either one of these shapes, then gather along the red line and wrap a rectangle around the middle. The top one would be easier, but the second would look better.

The only thing that makes me rage is that I hd to draw my patterns by myself and now it just seems wasted work...

Trying to thin of what methods to use to make the Qualia I've been talking about. The texture on it is just all over the place, especially since it's changes in every picture in the PV. Hachi's weird textury stuff is so iconic of his stuff I want to somehow get it right but I don't really even know how to start.

I think for the main cape part you should use something really rough looking. It'd probably be a good costume to play around with your embroidery skills.

I agree that the main part (cape? poncho?) should be rough to convey the paper texture. For the neck piece (scarf?) I'm really drawing a blank. I was thinking of maybe weaving it out of thick-ish pieces of various brown/gray fabrics and incorporating beads and things as well. I'm even thinking learning some macrame might be in order? (pic related)

I dunno. I've still got another project to finish (Eager Love Revenge Miku) so I haven't even started it yet.

My other hachi costume was so much easier. Clock Lock Works closet cosplay, how I better appreciate you now.
