Why does half of /cgl/ procrastinate on their cosplay, no wait everything?
    >> Anonymous 05/03/10(Mon)09:58 No.2901746
Cause it feels good at the time.

Thanks for giving me a new reason to procrastinate, Anon

thanks for reminding me, anon. GOTTA WORK HARD.

Because I have more important shit to work on like studying, doing homework, or napping when I'm not doing the first two things or actually in class. One more month until vacation time :(

If you got 9 hours of sleep a day you wouldn't need to nap

Not everyone has the luxury of being to sleep nine hours straight, kid.

impossible to do when I'm taking both morning and night classes and it takes me an hour each way to get to school. I know where my priorities are and making costumes isn't it.

Apparently a good night's sleep isn't a priority over school either.

School determines your future. You can always make up sleep.

    Sleep isn't that fucking important.

For me it's the result of a Perfectionist complex, as I procrastinate in pretty much every else as well.

It's a whole hell of a lot more than that, anon.

    >>2901875
I disagree - sleep is unspeakably important, for all the reasons they tell you since you were forced to go to bed at 8pm every night as a child. What I do agree with, though, is that it's really not possible to get all of the sleep your body needs sometimes, no matter how organized you are. I'm with some of the people in this thread in that I'm a full time student with a part time job that takes up more time than a part time job should. If I want to work on a costume, I have to fit it into the irregular bits of time between classes and before/after work, and getting up early/going to bed late to work on a costume means I'm cutting into sleep time. Fact is, there just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I need (and occasionally 'want') to do.

    >>2901889
Yes, I agree that sleep is important, but comparative to other things that need to be done School and Work still take priority. I have to agree that there are not enough hours in the day.

    >School and Work still take priority

Agreed. I try to balance it all, but getting into med school and paying my monthly bills/tuition/buying groceries takes precedence over getting the ideal amount of sleep. It's unfortunate but true. Sleep's a close third, though - once school and work are done, if I'm sorely in need of sleep, screw everything else, I'm out.
    >> Anonymous 05/03/10(Mon)11:23 No.2901911
because I would rather work on my friends costume then my own.

I feel like there should be more punctuation or less words in this sentence.

As other anons have said, cosplay is a hobby. Other shit is more important to me.

No kidding, thankfully I'm not going to med school, but figuring out how I'm going to pay off my loans for going to an out-of-state college is going to be interesting. You know, sleep has not been kind to me this semester, first it was lack of sleep trying to get into the rhythm of my final semester at my college with 19 credits, then it was getting my admissions shit together, then it was worrying if I would even be accepted, then its the financial aid and paying bills and moving and all other shit right before finals.

Shitsux, can't wait for the summer when I can forget about school and just sew shit.
