It's not uncommon for narcissists to do charity work. Honestly, just another way to be in the limelight and try to control the people around him. If it's any consolation, his blog is little more then him trying to convince the world he's happy. He's not.

He's the ass that runs Wasabi anime. A drama queen indeed! When there is no drama on the Fla con circuit he creates it. The latest being Wasabi is running the anime track at Ancient city con. A little con almost nobody has heard of, So what do they do, they schedule a very popular event ( great idea right) except that it's an event that has been being presented at Fl. cons by another anime group for years. Now obviously you can't stop Wasabi from stealing another groups idea but I just wonder how Tom Croom would react if another group were to anounce their intentions to put on an Animusical. Stir that drama pot Tom. It seems to be the only thing you do well.

I met Anna May Belle at AWA last year and I played her trivia bingo. It was the most fun I had at the con except for cosplaying. She"s been doing this panel for years. I'm sure others have copied the idea. While It is skeezy, you can't copy write ideas. She has nothing to worry about. Copies are never as good as the original. Except for the animusical Wasabi has never done anything decent. Why would they startt now.

Anna is one of the nicest people in the anime community and I'm sure she would applaud Tom for his charity work.

He does a lot of it regardless. He goes on other anime forums and bitches about other conventions. Also frequently smack talks on his site about simple misunderstandings, etc. But I see your point.

Yeah, they're still around. They look a shitton better than they did a few years ago..I saw they had a table at Megacon where they were selling things and a whole room at Anime Express, and some kickass flyers. Talked with them for a bit, they'll have some more tables and will be running panels at future cons. And it seems they underwent a lot of changes.

ACC was a great con until it and turned it into yet another anime con in Florida.

Anna May is an artist, writer, AMV editor and cosplayer. She runs major events such as kimono fashion shows and the Japanese Fairytale Theater. She runs numerous game shows such as Anime trivia bingo, Team trivia challenge, inside the anime studio and many more. She runs panels on a variety of topics.. including amv panels, origami, kitsuke, c.g. art, how to play go, and others. She has hosted amv contest for at least 3 conventions that I know about. She's made con opening videos for different conventions. According to Animecons.com shes made 17 guest appearances at conventions. Her website is not just a forum. Her site host a cosplay photo gallery consisting of thousands of photos, a convention schedule for all southern anime cons, articles and interviews. I'm proud to say she's a friend of mine. Tom Croom is yep, A drama whore and not much else!

With Jacon gone, they do little more than work at tiny, crappy conventions like supercon, acc and fx. Belle is an official guest at larger cons, without having to do grunt volunteer work like wasabi.

Most FL peeps have stated that Tom is an ass, and now have moved on to simply ignoring him or having nothing to do with his events.

He calls for boycotts on numerous events, bashes any and every new convention for "taking away from local cons" (ie AFO/Jacon), he tried to get people in the anime community he didn't like fired from their jobs on at least two separate occasions, ostracizes even close friends when they disagree with him, gets angry when his friends refuse to hate and attack people he dislikes. There's alot more, I only know a fraction of the things he does. Most people who have been in florida for years know more but never bring it up because they are afraid or just refuse to deal with croom because it is an unwinnable battle.
