This girl's prettier than a lot of Vanille cosplayers, I'll give her that, but (and this is just my personal opinion) she's entirely too thin. Like I said, it's a personal thing - walking bags of antlers kind of make my body hurt a little. Sympathy pains or something, I don't know. Also, dat posture needs a bit of work.

And this isn't a personal opinion: the costume's not that great. It's pretty clear that it doesn't fit her well, and the way things fit/sit/are constructed are inaccurate to the character.

Lastly, in b4 "jealous fatty" or "other Vanille." Never cosplayed Vanille, never going to - Vanille's not my schtick. I've got my eyes set on the soldier lady.

Square Enix models their character faces after Asians because they don't know how the fuck to animate a Caucasian face. They wanted to make Ashe look French but they were like HURR WE CAN'T ANIMATE THIS so they made her look more Asian in the end.

As for the other characters, Snow is about as white as they get. 6'4, broad shoulders, blonde hair and blue eyes, heavily muscled; you will never, EVER see an asian that fits that profile. Ever. Even removing the obviously Caucasian coloring (and, you know, his French surname), his physical build and facial construction is of European origin. Lightning is the other obvious one; that woman's features scream northern European/Scandinavian. Elongated face and pointed chin, long, narrow nose, large almond shaped eyes, full lips. Then you go and throw in the fair skin, light blue-grey eyes, and the pale hair and it's even more obvious. What's more, Farron is Gaelic, if I remember correctly.

Nah, Squall looked at least partially Asian. So did Rinoa, Selphie, the CG models of Tidus and Yuna, etc etc. I'm not saying all FF characters always look white, just that there's barely even a hint of Asian in the entire cast of FFXIII.
