His agent is at fault, not the publishing company.

sometimes your lot in life is to be the example of something bad (i.e. get good management, read all contracts thoroughly, etc.)

i loved the movie as a child, and i feel bad for the dude, but unless they dangled him over a ledge and made him sign, there's nothing we can do.

This is old news to fans. Dude was effin' stupid. People love that movie sure, but not that much. Even the live-action's been in development hell.

He sure was promoting the movie at his booth in Wondercon this past weekend. Had the movie at his booth and everything. As much as I like Beagle he shouldn't have sold his rights like that.

this is kind of depressing... the suggested list (the OP poster is peter s. beagle's business manager) for extras on the special edition DVD. Too bad we got pretty much no good extras.

tempted to buy the comics... but like anon said, Conlan Press has a history of not shipping things out and just poor customer service in general. I remember they made an audio book combo of the Last Unicorn & the sequel and it took people 3 years past the promised date to get it. Yeah publication issues happen but they wouldn't even answer emails or give people refunds.

OP you do realize that if he's selling the dvd merchandise at conventions that he most certainly is getting more than his fair share of the money from the merchandise. If not all of the money from the merchandise he sells. idiot

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Conlanpress but never received any of them. When I called they said they would refund me the money. Never did. contacted BBB

This sounds weird but if you have a Facebook, friend request Peter S Beagle and message him about it. One of my friends mentioned on his wall that she ordered something months ago and never got it and he apparently told his business manager to send that shit out... it's not the first time Conlan Press has pulled this crap. I ordered the comic book but I paid with Paypal so if I don't get it within a few weeks I'm disputing.

I read about that! I heard Peter S Beagle told the company he was thinking of licensing the script so that other people could do it.

I heard that they could do with cutting it down, though. They basically tried to include everything from the novel and it bogged it down.
