I'm driving from New York on Thursday. I'm hoping to miss the snow, I hit black ice n bashed some barrier last week. I really don't want to drive in the snow. Ever. Again.

- Weekend high's just above freezing, low's in the 20's, no snow.

I checked weather.com for I95 from NY to VA on Thursday. It says 30-40% chance down to Newark NJ. So folks coming from northern areas on Thurs might catch the tail end on their way down.

Not worried about the amounts, worried about when it stops. I was planning on driving down like 10-11AM Thursday.

I don't think the problem is traffic at this point. A lot of people are traveling from the north, south and west through planes, trains and buses and some are driving down. People can face cancellations on their traveling plans plus snow gives people a chance to drive like idiots.

Has Katsu mentioned a refund policy for people who literally can't make it in? I know for most cons it's "Oh couldn't make it in and you paid already? Too bad."

My flight is on Thursday night after the snow is supposed to be stopped. I'm not sure how airlines work with flights canceled due to weather. Should I still expect to be delayed?

I'm less worried about my own travel plans as I am for others. I could deal with a delay at my layover in Milwaukee if it really came to it, but I'm genuinely scared for some of the people I know who are going who are driving there.

Everyone please please drive as carefully as you can, okay? The snow should stop by Thursday morning but there's a good chance the roads'll still be bad.

Southwest cancelled a bunch of flights to BWI on Wed and Thur morning

My plane has been my only concern, I keep checking DCA and the weather station but everything is looking good so far, thankfully.

I'm taking Amtrak train up then catching the metro on wednesday. i think i might be fucked.
