Finally home. I only really took one picture the entire con, and that was the Mahou Tsukai Tai cosplayers who made me SO HAPPY because they were so good and so cute and the nostalgia fag in me was content with seeing well done costumes of an under appreciated series.

Wait no, Saturday night Shiroin and I were taking random pictures of people in our drunken state. I don't think I actually got any cosplayers though. So those won't be uploaded anywhere really, only the really good ones in a con report that I'll probably never do.

Overall, I had a good time. Got to see and hang out with people I haven't seen in a while, got to be civil to those I didn't like and didn't regret it, had the best roomies, and won an award where we didn't think we would win, so hay, successful con was successful

Being a cheerleader at an anime convention happening at the same time as a cheerleading competition is really strange. People around me would be bashing them so hard, and then look at me and go, "Don't you think that's funny?" Was trying to grab some chairs to sit on in the food court (which we all have a proper etiquette for). Saw two free chairs on either side of a 350 lb yuppie old chick. One of her lard-engorged arms was on the left chair (oh so she obviously wants to save that one, right?) So I approach the chair on the right and she suddenly FLIPS THE FUCK OUT "GARBLEBLEGWAWAWAHA! YOU CANT HAVE THESE - THESE R MINE" while flailing her jiggling bone-sacs of finger and fat. I immediately turned around to find other chairs only to here her yell "FRANCIS, YOU CAN ONLY TAKE ONE PICTURE; GET BACK HERE IN YOUR SEAT!" To reply, a tubby, ginger runt in a purple cheerleader uniform with a camera phone turned from a group of kingdom hearts cosplayers posing for his photo yelled "I JUST WANNA TAKE ONE MORE!"

I also had my picture taken with some cheerleaders, for the first time. :D It made my day. But what happened before that made it even better. My boyfriend and I were waiting in line for the masquerade, and this typical looking older man comes right up to us, his eyes on the prize apparently, and he comes up to us and is like, "You guys are my FAVORITE EVER. Can I PLEASE take a picture with you?" LOL so we took one with him. I asked him if he was with the cheerleaders, and he said his daughter was one of the dancers. Right after he stepped away, a group of cheerleaders that had been watching swarmed us to get a photo with us too, LOL. And since my character is a total ladies man, I decided to make it in-character and posed with a big thumbs-up and a huge grin. I'm really sad I didn't get a copy of this on my own camera. It would have been my favorite photo of the con by far.

Ohayocon this year wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as other years.
The hentai viewings used to be a small thing, but has become a spectator sport.
Lines were poorly managed.
Rave sucked.
Among other things.
Then Coulton saved the day.
