It depends. In Cali the water is fucking expensive but elsewhere? Not as much :/. Then again economics isn't much of an excuse for not having basic hygiene. I admit to the smelly con-goer thing. I kinda rushed to a con (I take a shower every two days because my skin dries out easily) and took a picture with a VA, before I noticed afterwards I smelled like shit. My deodorant did not last as long as I thought. I felt so embarrassed by it and still do to this day. But he was nice so he didn't say anything.

I do. You turn off the water, grab your towel and dry off until you're no longer drippy, THEN get out. Also put a spare towel on the floor.


I also need the room chilly to sleep. If it's hot I CANNOT sleep. But most of my friends know this and I warn them ahead of time. They're all okay with it and just grab another blanket.

It took only one con to realize that I was forever going to get my own room just to not deal with the one douche who somehow managed to get EVERY FUCKING TOWEL wet in the bathroom thereby making it difficult to get dry after I take a shower.

Cosplay in rotting shoes. Why someone would make a nice CCS costume then wear shoes that were falling apart is beyond me.
I've seen a lot of this actually, where people spend endless effort getting details perfect on a costume, then ruin it with a pair of cheap chinese maryjanes that look like they've been worn on a hike in the Rockies.

Shiny, oil slicked faces. Filthy fingernails, cheeto/dorito stained fingers. Again, wash.

Yellow pit stains. Mainly guys seem guilty of this.
If you have a white print shirt, that has pee colored stains under the arms, don't wear it in public please. It's just nasty.

Baby wipes. Learn to use them. Carry some with you in case the public restrooms in the hotel or con center run out, or are using tree bark for TP.

Baby powder. It's not just for your feet.
