the love of God, no. Cat in the Hat hat is WAY too tall, and is made of
felt or some shit. Holy shit do NOT do that. It will look like this

Also, BLACK dye? Are you nuts? Don't do
that either. The hat is about the same color as his suit (brown) and
the stripe is like umber or some shit, not exactly red.
I know
my Layton isn't the best, so I don't want to sound like I have a big
head or anything; I'm just telling you these things because I love you
and want to see you be the best Layton you can be, not to come in here
and be all UR DOIN IT RONG just because I've done the costume myself.
So, we are clear that we're not using a CitH hat, right? And get as
tight fitting coat and pants as possible. Look at the pictures of him;
look at those sleeves and legs. That shit ain't baggy. As previously
mentioned in the thread, look for those two things in the women's
department. They'll be tighter fitting AND you'll have better luck
finding the appropriate colors. |
