I still use it to post graphic and traditional art along my cosplay. There is a MySpace angel in my deviations, but it's a cute photo of me that is part of my deviant ID (that's a montage of photos).

to be perfectly honest I consider cosplay only a hobby based off of peoples different artistic talents. i do not consider it an art itself. art is formed from the expression of a person, cosplay is something people make or buy based off something they didnt come up with.

i do think cosplay deserves a category on deviantart, but i wish the people who posted in it posted more artistic looking pictures rather than them just standing there in an out with their camera set at a high angle to make them look thinner.

Then, the camwhores came in. It has made my DA life 50% sadder ever since.

Most of what I post nowadays are cosplay photos (nice photography from photoshoots, mind you), and less art, since the only art I have time for currently is school related, which I'm not inclined to post as of now. Once I'm out of school I'll post more serious design work, probably under a separate account, hurr.

I stopped posting every single photo on coscom and started only posting good stuff and progress photos

I guess I really don't know how it is now or how it was before. I only use my DA to put pictures up of little projects here and there. I also keep an artistic blog there so I can reference it later in life. Never been a part of the community there, except I guess, when people ask me questions about my costumes or discuss possible group ideas.

It's more frustrating than easy. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to draw a straight horizontal line correctly. Plus, for our final we have to write a haiku on a scroll, which sounds easy but every time we mess up we have to start over. There's a lot that factors into writing the characters so it's not a simple as it might sound.
