I have a story.
I remember one time at the mall. Me and my mother were out shopping and I wanted to stop by walden books to get something. Then all of a sudden my mom is laughing saying "look at the kitty kitty" I was fucking confused until I saw:
This guy with long disheveled black hair, weraing kitty ears and a tail. wearing a ryooki backpack. He was fuck ugly too. I tried not to laugh cause I didn't want us to hurt his feelings but I couldn't help it... My mom wasn't exactly helping with that either.

Now I wasn't wearing anything beyond some cat ears (and clothes of course), but some old cunt of a woman was cackling and saying something about a cat. I couldn't hear her over my rage building. No pictures but theres these 2 girls that always goto my local mall cosplayed as Deidara and Shippuden Sasuke.

I make sure to say whats up to them whenever I see them cause stuff like that doesn't make me rage. I wish I had the courage to cosplay in public settings like that.

We were doing an arrancar group and we felt pretty stupid for leaving our black espada in the hotel room =_=...i've never seen him laugh so hard before...he was said cuz he wanted to eat chicken in his "n word" cosplay....we were still hungry so we just sure did march down to subway and got some turkey sandwiches instead...then our black espada laughed at us some more...we never noticed it,haaa what a wonderfully racist day that was.

There were also several kids at my High School who would wear Akatsuki coats and Naruto headbands to school, but as far as I can remember there was never any major action against it. Sure, people would get teased for wearing them, but we never got any rulings about how they were banned or whatever.

We did have a ban on bottles and outside food, though.

I've been in D.C., Parks. Rivers, and Resturants with my friends in cosplay. Although that was because I was taking photos for my portfolio at the time...

I always felt self-concious whenever people passed by, but most of them seemed more curious than vindictive. Though if I were them, I would have laughed my ass off at myself and my friends. *shrugs*

one of my friends loved the aspect of bishounen and made himself look so godamn girly, there was such a bad emo problem at my high school that ppl protested with signs that said "stop wearing your sisters pants", cuz the girls locker rooms would get raided for their freaking pants of all things.

He would get in trouble a lot cuz of it,but he imported pants from japan that were meant to be skinny and tight,pretty funny, it actually gave him a reason to work out more and he got ripped,pretty fast....godamn does he get laid at cons though..fuck that guy...

I've been out in public in cosplay, but only during cons/events. For example, venturing into Northampton in Team Magma gear during Kitacon (and bumping into at least a dozen Rockets in McD, hilarity ensued), or going on pre-MCM Expo Namco meets in cosplay as the Doctor.

Other than those sort of events, closest I ever get is wearing my Doctor coat day-to-day. I love that thing to death, but it does attract comments.

It's just plain normal boots that reach beneath my knees (of course very fashionable ones that look sexy etc etc) and I've sewn a pair of boot covers for the overknee part.
