Alright, so publicly, we have a huge list of cosplayers from /cgl/ on deviantART. Any lurkers of /cgl/ can go to any of the deviants' pages and read their journals, knowing full well they also browse /cgl/ on occasion. Any personal drama can be transmitted back to /cgl/ knowing full well one person on that giant list will spot it and probably inform the original person it was related about.

It just seems to me like we're putting a lot of people into one pot, waiting for it to be stirred by one or more trolls who are watching and waiting for this list to develop, minako-koizumi.

I don't know if people in this group will be considered pretentious and, as many anons have been using this lately, higher than thou because they're collaborating within a group like this. Keeping the group primarily confined to dA, however, I think would be awesome if doable, but I imagine cross posting is inevitable, as with people livejournals and coscom cross posts.

I see where you're getting at. But this is NOT an elitist, invite only group. I think I've made it pretty clear that anyone, even non-cosplayers are more than welcome to join as long as they have an interest in cosplay. Also, the list seems to be pretty extensive enough that i don't think trolls are up for browsing every single page just to find out who's who, besides, 99% of the cosplays I've seen on these peoples pages are pretty fuckwin.

Oh no no. I COMPLETELY understand. It's just, at one point, I got very annoyed at people who left/deleted crap over drama or because they didn't like it anymore, yet there were others who still enjoyed their work. But that part of me has come to terms that yes, people DO need to clean their slate every once in a while. Also, my dA username is the same handle I use everywhere else aside from cosplay. It's not a different alias/persona per-say, but it's just much more established than the "MrFreeman" handle. I've just seen people move every time a spot of drama hits their page, and it's just irritating.
