As much as I love 'accurate' TF2 cosplays, when there's a thread for 'TF2 Girls' I actually expect just that. Girls crossplaying guys accurately is awesome. No doubt about it. However I'm much more interested in seeing decent fem-versions when there's a whole thread dedicated to TF2 ladies.

Oh lol, I've been talking about doing this exact same thing for a while. I'm glad other people are doing female versions of the characters based on actual 60s fashion, though. Cause I'm really god damn tired of skanky 64!TF2 cosplay.

I really want to do a very Hepburn-ish 60s female Spy, pic very related. I think that style of suit is a good alternative to Spy's -- maybe make it closer fitting -- and her hairstyle invokes the same kind of profile as male Spy without needing to have the full-head mask. But anyway, those are just my ideas, haha.

The mask is the biggest question. I figure feminist!Spy would wear the same full face one but if she's wearing a fashionable women's suit then that's probably not appropriate. I'm still kind of meh about the eyemask but that's pretty much the only solution. Maybe a hat with a veil?

Not going to lie; I do not look forward to taping off the finished product and painting on the pinstripes. But I'm not going to be like the fail!Spys I've seen wearing solid suits.
