That Master Roshi is one of my favorite things ever.

Mine will be filled with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, and Twister.

Truly, it will be the greatest Otakon ever.

I'd be shocked if anyone else fit that description but me.

I'll be going in a costume that probably only a handful of people will recognize, but I plan on having a blast in it. Sadly, it's not one that I can take to the Twister tournament.

I only just found out I was going to Otakon, so I've got to do some brushing up on what sort of events they're gonna have there. So, so much reading to do...

Blasphemy. The more difficult the costume, the more fun the game of Twister.

The only reason I'm not playing is because some one has to spin the spinner.
Also, I can't be a very good host if I'm playing.

Well ordinarily I would agree with you guys on that, but it's more for everyone else's safety. I'll have a whole lot of 2-6" lengths of stem wire sticking out of my forearms at all angles. And you know what they say, it's all fun and games til someone loses an eye.

And the cosplay is the Engraver from the Fatal Frame series. Side character, a ghost that pops up here and there throughout the third game.

What's the deal with Twister? Is it gonna be a private party or is it being held in the convention center?

I've got the travel and budget ok...except for a place to stay. I've been reading about the increased gang assaults in the area so even though I'm in a tight budget, I must find a hotel near the con area. Problem is, it's so expensive to travel alone.

I know, that's my main problem with Otakon. Even if you get a room months in advance, it'll still cost a lot. Usually, I never have to worry about rooms because I travel in a group, but this year's chaos and I'm S.O.L.

Hahahahahaha. I honestly wish you luck. Most rooms in the Inner Harbor are ~$200, and by now all but the $500 rooms on the top level of the Sheraton will be full (but you'll be close to the VIPs?). For $100/night, you'll be busing it in on the light rail an hour and a half each way. Enjoy Timonium, lol.

For those of you looking for rooms, try the Otakon message boards. I've done it once the year I failed at filling out my crash space forms on time and it wasn't too bad. Just double and triple check that your room organizer is cool and they're not filling the room with creepers.
