    Due to the recent outbreak of the swine flu in Mexico, 68 people are dead in that country with over 1000 sickened. In New Zealand 22 people have developed symptoms. In New York, the last I heard there were 8 confirmed cases, As well as 1 in ohio.There has been an outbreak in San Diego as well. Bringing the total number of cases in the US to 20.

    The point of this posting is to alert those in the Cosplaying community about how quickly this bug spreads. Simple touching, kissing, or even breathing on some one can transfer the H1N1 virus.

    Symptoms of swine flu include fever, lethargy, lack of appetite, coughing, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, according to the CDC

    If you feel sick, you suspect one of your friends or someone at the con is sick. Be smart, and don't expose yourself or others unnecessarily.

    Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks people are overreacting. Mexico City is inhabited by 20 million people, 92 are dead, 1000 or so are sick. All the Americans who have it are recovering with little to no actual hospitalization, etc. The mass media is a funny business.
