    Con horror stories.
    >> Anonymous 04/23/09(Thu)16:41 No.1790025
My most embaressing one would have to be at Ikkicon 08.
I was cosplaying as Naruto sexy jutsu and I was in the courtyard. There were little waterfalls for scenery out there to make it pretty, so I sat on the ledge of it, and It turns out that the ledge was wet, so I had a quarter size mud spot on my butt and it looked red.
So It looked like I was on my period and it bled through XD
so to hide it I bought a tail to cover it

I won't name the con, but it was one of the ones that has a stupid "formal ball." It was the first time I'd heard of formal balls at cons (newfag, I know), so I figured I'd check it out. Having no dancing experience at all, I went to a ballroom dance lessons panel the night before.

Ballroom dancing, as we all hopefully realize, requires two people.

So I'm there in plain clothes rather than cosplay and learning how to dance or whatever and there is this dude very obviously watching me. I kinda let it go. I get hit on at cons a lot (not bragging. We all know that cons have somewhat lower standards).

So it comes time to get partners and the guy makes right for me. He's nervous as he asks me and I just cut him off and say fine, whatever. I don't know anyone and I figure it's no big deal.

But (and here's where the story nears horror) as we're dancing, his hands are just fucking soaked. Like SOAKED. And we have to just keep dancing for a solid 30-45 minutes. He's too nervous to fucking move so I'm dragging him around by his gross, soggy hand just praying to god I die or the lesson ends soon.

    Never again.

Last year at a convention in Virginia Beach my husband and I went together. He was dressed as Leon from RE2 and I was Ada from RE4 one day and Alice from Resident evil the next. Well this incident happened while we weren't in costume the first time. We went to the indoor pool, and I got in, but my husband just wanted to lounge around.. Well, this guy starts talking to us and being OVERLY friendly. He wanted to take our picture (even though we weren't in costume at the time). Maybe my bikini was just too skimpy, I don't know. So I let him, just to be friendly. He said something that still creeps me out "I like couples".

Well the guy stalked us for the rest of the convention. Popping up every now and then and saying hello. It was really disturbing.
    >> Anonymous 04/23/09(Thu)16:48 No.1790044
I have two that tie for first place and they were at the same convention. At anime matsuri 09 There was this guy who was on his way to the rave. He was kind weird, but I've hung out with stanger people so I didnt think too much into it. Somehow we got into a conversation about the origin of our raver names and I told him mine was Skratch because Im constantly scratching people's backs. He claimed he was a better back scratcher and showed me his nails (which were longer than mine, but filed to a tapered point) I said its not about the nails but the technique and the arguement escalated into a stare down. It made me uncomfortable, and I didnt discover until later why. I won the stare down and he wanted a hug to show no hard feelings. I said okay and I hugged him, that's when he freakin' clawed my back! I pushed him away and said "No! That's not okay."

He followed me to the DDR Line and tried to get me to hug him again. That's when I realized what it was that made me uncomfortable. I get stalked at every convention and they all have that aura to them. I had won the staredown earlier so I looked him right in the eye and told him firmly. "You need to leave now." My mum taught me that if you look people in the eye and believe with full confidence you will destroy them if they dont listen, you can repel most stalkers. So when I stare people down I look dangerous, luckily for me. ^^; (is 120 pounds 5' 3" chihuahua-build) Needless to say I didnt see him the rest of the con.

The other story is shorter. I was all primed to go to the Miyavi concert so I needed some snackage to keep my energy up. The maid cafe was selling these really fruity looking drinks that looked tasty. So I bought 4 of them. I gave one to my friend and drank the rest. 30 minutes later I was in my hotel room sick as a dog. The drinks that were so tasty had milk in them and I am highly allergic to it. I was so ill I missed the Miyavi Concert. T.T

At A-Kon they have a concert. Well, it was scheduled for a couple of hours after the convention actually closed. I had my parents drive me and my friends all the way over to Dallas expecting to see the concert, only to be told the concert had already happened a couple of hours ago - and we arrived at the SCHEDULED TIME.

On the last day of the con, me and my friends were walking down the hall and this woman was b*tching to her friend about how we shouldn't be angry that they changed the time on us and that we should have been aware of it. Tell me how we were supposed to keep up with this if we were an hour away.

The flippant, unpleasant way she said it very nearly got her yelled at by me.

This is an oldie, I've told a couple of times.
I'd like to say first, yes Im a bitch. I easily get scared by the type of person I will now tell you about.

In 2007, I cosplayed Rukia from Bleach (Cosplay sucked, I sucked, yadda yadda.)
At the cosplay contest, this super-fat smelly girl with pimbles in her face, glasses, and a unibrow, came up to me.
Saying: "I want to rape your brother.". Then proceeded to stare at me for 2 minutes untill I said "... Okay.. Uh, me too."
We started a conversation, a really weird one. I went on stage, won an award, and it was time to go back to the con (the contest-place was a couple of KM away from the actual con, so we took busses to get there.).
The fat girl followed me outside.
Proceeded to not really talk to me, but just stand 2 centimeters away from me and stare at me, with a big scary smile.
The bus finally arrived, we entered it, and I quickly found a friend (Who is by the way, a yaoi obsessed freak, so it wasnt much better) I could share a seat with.
The fat stalking chick gave me a break for 10 minutes. We arrived at the con, and as she was about to follow me around even more, I just told her "YOU KNOW WHAT, I HAVE TO GO." and ran away.

I thought that would be the end. But no. No-no.
Not shortly after the con ended I had gotten PM's from just about every forum and site Im a part of. - The author of those PM's? My fav. stalker with the unibrows.
I might've given those messages any attention if it werent for the creepyness -
Each and every one of them said something like... "Wanna be my friend :)????" or "Hi. :) :) what you doing?"
I answered ONCE, on her what you doing message. Never got an answer back. Just the same message a week later.

    THE HORRORS.

Was attacked in hall by girl who ripped off my sleeve, leaving me panicked when someone noticed though almost passed out when an X2 yuna happened to have a sewing kit on her..and it was IN the green room lineup

One time a group of friends and I were cosplaying as the Scooby Doo gang and since it was four girls, me and another girl decided to crossplay as Shaggy and Freddie. While we were just walking around, a group of obnoxiously loud teenage girls all carrying yaoi paddles and dressed like "kawaii kandi kid kitties" came up to us and demanded that we kissed for a photo. After we said no, they circled us (there were about 7 of them) and started pushing us around, bully style shouting at us to pose like a yaoi couple. After we kept on refusing and pretty much ignored them even though the were surrounding us, the promptly started smacking us with their paddles, my friend and I got pissed, we grabbed three of their paddles, pushed them outta the way and (during all of this, the other two girls, who were called 'evil het girls' by the yaoi fangirls, had gotten con security) we gave the paddles to security and they confiscated all of the paddles and kicked 4 of the girls out of the con. Afterwards the security guard found us again, told us that we were all set and told us he loved our costumes. And then he did the best fucking impression of Scooby Doo ever. Man, he was such a cool security guard.

I guess mine started out like a con horror story but ended up in a pretty win situation.

Not much of a horror story, but I did have a fangirl who followed me around most of the sunday of a con.
She clung to my arm humping me basically while I was trying to carry a conversation, whenever someone stopped me for photos she kept going "TAKE MY PICTURE TOO I DESERVE IT" because she was dressed as a character to match mine (except hers was utter shit and didn't look anything like the character) so I didn't get to talk with people because they kept trying to avoid her.
Eventually I had to take off part of my costume so she wouldn't notice me when I walked by, and I hid off in a panel. I love that costume so much, but goddammit why can't annoying girls just learn to fuck off if the object of your intrest wont even talk to you unless its absolutely necessary.

    >I get stalked at every convention and they all have that aura to them

I find that's true with a lot odd people. In my experience, pathological liars have this look in their eye when they lie. I've learned to pick it out from years of experience with one (ex)friend who had that habit. I also love your way of dealing with these creeps; staring 'em down. That's something that we all could learn from; half these stalkers and creepo's would leave you alone if you would simply take the initiative and told them very firmly once to fuck off. There are a few stubborn ones but most of the time, these geeks just don't have the confidence to come at you again; it's easier finding "new prey."

most of the time movements, or erratic changes in their posture are associated when they lie, it's more on how they speak and sure enough, there's, for a lack of a word, a gleam or a certain look in their eye that can be picked up.

found out after years of treating people like that, they get huffy when you call on their lies or simply stare blankly and big at you as if they are surprised or with nothing else to say.

Here is aq horror story. The rest of the con went OK'ish, but when I sat down to watch an event this HUGE black whale of a girl with some poorly made XXXXXL yaoi shirt on who took up like 3 chairs sat next to me...which I normally wouldn't even care about except for one problem - SHE FUCKING REEKED !!!

I have smelled some pretty horrible smells in my life, but the was the first time I almost passed out from the pain in my nose. It was like someone had dropped a 300 pound bag of fish that had been rotting for months mixed with BO juice right next to me. I had to get up and stand in the back throughout the whole thing along with 6 other people around her because there were no other seats. I'm surprised she didn't get kicked out of the con. I know a lot of otaku are low on hygiene including myself...but at least I have the decency to put SOME kind of deodorant on me on the days where I forget to shower. Fucking christ.

I never would have thought the the person with the worst BO I would ever meet would be a Yaoi fangirl whale...but now that it has happened it strangely makes sense.

Eh, best I got was some creepy little like 12 year old girl latching onto my arm and refusing to let go, I mean she had a KUNG-FU GRIP on my arm, until I gave her a half-hearted, reluctant hug. I actually moved my face away from her a bit out of disdain. That was the first time I cosplayed Mario. Up until then, all the people who approached me were pleasant and fun. (Two shy little Asian girls asked me to pose with their little stuffed mushroom. Was d'awww.) The worst part? She had that unwashed con-goer smell on her and was part of the Gaia group that was filling the hall, trying to force people to do something retarded. Her latching onto me got their attention like some kind of scout insect for the rest of the hive. They took pictures, made idiotic comments, tried to get me to join their failfest and such. And they were there, ALL DAY. Any time I went through that hall I had to avert my eyes and walk a little faster, for fear of being attacked again.

I was at one con and my friend had spent a shit load of time beading this gorgeous CLAMP outfit.
So we made a plan, we would watch each others back and make sure neither one of us got hugged wrong or our feet stepped on but most of all, so neither one of us would get glomped. (I wasn't wearing as crazy of an outfit but it was light colored and I didn't want it dirty)
So we're walking through the con and some idiot straight out of the discount rack of the Hot Topic comes up and tries to hug onto my friend who puts up her hands and gets behind me. The guy looks pissed and I kindly help her explain that the buckles and zippers on his coat could seriously ruin the bead work. So if he wanted a hug, I would help him place his hands and he would have to bend at the waist so nothing caught.
He doesn't like this and calls us both bitches and walks off. So we shrug, you know, there's one at every con, and go about our walk.
About 30 minutes later in the dealers room, we're posing for a picture and out of no where, the guy runs by, shoves me out of the way and TACKLES my friend!
Needless to say, he caught and like the inside of a rain stick, hundreds of beads spill onto the floor and the guy stands up and looks at both of us and says "Maybe next time you won't be such stuck up bitches".
He lost his badge, was banned from coming to the next con and we got bought some drinks and snacks by staff people, but the most painful part of it was having to help my friend pluck every lost bead off the floor while she bawled her eyes out over her lost work. From that day on, she has been afraid to put detail into her cosplay.

God, I probably have more con horror than I can count.. Some less horror-y than others.

My second Sakuracon, I'd joined a Sailormoon Musical cosplay group. We were doing "Link". Our costumes were shit, since none of us knew how to sew at the time, but we'd worked damn hard on the dance.
Everything at tech rehearsal went well.
The cosplay competition came, and we took the stage, and got in position. The music started, and we got into it - all our hard work was paying off.
During the first chorus, our worst fears came to be. The cd did that skip and stick thing. You know, when it goes "A-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-n-n-n-n-t-t-t-t-a-a-a-a"
They refused to restart the cd, or go to any of the other tracks (all the same song).
We left the stage in shame.

My first Fanime. It was the last day of the con, and we'd checked out of our hotel already. This was before I had a cellphone (I was like.. 15?). I'm also hypoglycemic, meaning if I don't eat semiregularly, I can pass out. I realized several hours before I was supposed to meet back up with my mother that I hadn't eaten all day - and I was out of cash.
So, I whipped up a sign. It was something along the lines of "Will pose/spin*/hug/fanservice/yuri for Food/Money".
    (*I was in a short skirt. )
Most people were just like "Aww, you poor dear", and gave me a buck or two. (I ended up with like $20 before I knew it). I gave one girl a kiss on the cheek, did some poses, etc.
After collecting my money, before I got to head out to get food, someone gave me a bacon double cheeseburger. I was overjoyed!
With food and now around $20 in hand, I decided to see if I could spot a cheap gift for a friend, since I knew there was no way I could find all those people at give them their proper amount of money back.
I stopped by a booth that had a large Weiss Kreuz wallscroll I'd never seen before.
I didn't notice what booth it was until the woman started SCREAMING at me.
I don't remember it word for word, but it was something along the lines of "You little bitch, how DARE you wear that sign?! Yuri is a sick abomination, and you're a freak! Get the hell away from my booth" etcetc.
    Did you guess the booth?
If you guessed "YAOICON" - YOU'RE RIGHT.

I left the hall confused and scared.
I've never had a good opinion of Yaoi con or its attendees since.

Oh, and there's my Gomamon story (repost, yay).
Sakuracon a few years ago - I'd put together a Digimon group. We had some Digimon Gijinka, and some chosen children. We were supposed to have more of each, but I seem to have bad luck with groups.
Anyway, so this guy comes up and asks for a picture. I was Gomamon, and my boyfriend was dressed as Joe/Jyou. We posed together, Mimi on his other side, and I think a few more Gijinka with her, too (Agumon and Biyomon, I believe).
The guy pauses and eyes me.
    "Who're you supposed to be?"
    "I'm Gomamon *cute smile*"
    "No, you're not. Go away"
    D<

I'll try to think of more and add to my list later.

    >"Go away"
Since he's the one that approached, why should you be the one to go away? Wow, what a tard.

    My horror story:
Two friends were cosplaying as siblings, so I agreed to cosplay as their mother, since it was a simple costume. Little did I know that they would be bringing their six or so other friends, including one very young girl, so I ended up having to babysit because none of them would leave me alone. At one point, they started claiming different body parts and I had people locking onto my arms and legs and couldn't get them off. Just because I'm cosplaying as your mom doesn't mean I AM your mom; work shit out on your own and let me go buy porn.
I feel worse for my friend that had to go with me, though; she had to sit by and deal with these people when I was supposed to be hanging out with her. I sat down with her when I could, but time and time again I'd get pulled up to go do something or scold someone and there wasn't a lot she could do. I tried being firm with them, but it didn't do any good...y'all know how young-teenage hyper anime fans are.

    Ahhh the Yaoi Con people...
Thank you for bringing back a horrible memory.

I was at Yaoi-con for the first time and while walking through the dealers room I saw the new Shikamaru (from Naruto) mini plush. I always liked Shikamaru because I thought he was too smart to be in Naruto.
So I bought it and was looking it over to check all the stitching and detail when a little 13 year old come up to me in her Narutard closet garb. Before you get on me about "You can't get into Yaoi-con unless you're 18+" keep in mind that if you have someone +18 get your badge and give it to you, they don't check you and let you go right in.
So anyway, this girl looks up at me and says "OMGWTFBBQ! You like Shika-Chan too!? Aren't he and Chouji cute together!?" volume at 11 when it needed to be at a 5. I said "Yeah, they're great friends." not really paying attention to her.
"They're gonna get together and probably be lovers by the end of the series!" she chirped to where I said:
"Naw, I doubt that. They aren't like that."
    BIG mistake.
This bitch makes the BIGGEST SCENE in the dealers room yelling that I'm a homophobic bitch and asking what I was doing there. I tried to explain I liked Gravitation and all but she was just screaming and crying.
Needless to say, I was stabbed with sewing needles, rammed into walls by passing fangirls and charged double for anything in the dealers room. Everyone in artist alley refused to talk to me and when I bought a book mark from someone who would converse with me, they wrote "HETERO CUNT" on the back of it in big black letters.

I now despise most Yaoi fangirls.
    >> Anonymous 04/23/09(Thu)22:50 No.1790539
I volunteered jokingly for something because there were 500 people in the room, whats the chance I'd get picked.

This is more of a hilarious story than a horror story.

Last year's Otakon, I was dressed as Neku from The World Ends With You. My friend and I decided go to the rave, but after a while, I started feeling sick since my binding was slipping down to my ribs and I couldn't breathe very well. We moved towards the back of the room, and just talked for a bit. Not too far away, there's a small entryway for a panel room or something (an alcove of sorts) where this teenaged otaku-dude and girl pair are laying down and making out. My friend notices too, so we just start watching them, because it's fucking hilarious just how awkward it was. And as we're laughing, watching the girl slide her hand down otaku-dude's pants, otaku-dude suddenly sits up, looks over at me, and whispers something to his girl. He quickly gets up, with the girl still trying to drag him back, and (while trying to cover his boner with the bottom of his t-shirt) walks over to my friend and I. He looks straight at me, and points at his chest a few times with an ecstatic expression. At first I thought he was trying to tell me 'I'm getting laid tonight,' to which I stood there, utterly confused. He points at his chest again, and then I notice it: he was wearing pins from TWEWY. He then goes on a diatribe about how he bought the pins at the artist alley, about how the game is fukken' awesum n shit, and asks me how I got my own pins. Still shocked into silence, I somehow mumble a semi-coherent answer. Satisfied, he spews some cheesy awkward goodbye, something to the extent of "Oh, awesome. It was nice talking to you. I'm just gonna go back over there now. Hope to see you around~" and pretty much makes the real life equivalent of the creepy winking emote, and he proudly walked back to his alcove and resumed awkwardness with his girl.

I still don't know what to think of it (except hilariously awkward).

That actually reminds me of something that happened at AWA last year. I was hanging out in the artist alley at an empty table with my friends, jut killing time. One of my friend's boyfriend at the time was the designated photographer of the group and had this huge TWEWY player pin on his camera strap. He didn't know anything about the game, he just thought it looked cool.

At some point this really creepy furry guy came over and started talking to him about TWEWY for like twenty minutes. Our friend was trying to be cool about it, going "Yeah" and "Uhuh, right" to the guy. I felt bad afterward because I assumed he knew the creep or something and maybe I could have rescued him. I can't remember if he tried to follow us around afterward, but yeah. Awkward.

And then there was the time at D*C my girlfriend had her picture taken what can only described as a spur-fetishist immediately after WT Snacks stopped us in the street to brag about trolling Boner Robin's mom. Good times.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU !!! this guy need an elbow kick in the face !

This is exactly for situations like this i was "hired" by friends of mine in cons (not really, much more like "hey, we need a roadie, want a free pass for the con ?")
See in france (yes, cheese eating surrender monkey here), we have a con called "japan expo" wich gathers larp associations (fuck year life sized stargate !), alternative artists and such, in a sector called kultima, along with all the others things we normally find in a con (anime, cosplay panels, motherfucking hare hare yukai groups every fives minutes, shops, etc.
Anyway a friend with a pretty nice steampunk outfit was doing a walk aroud the artist alley and i was designated to make sure nobody could harass her (yeah, mcfucking gorgeous body + victorian dress = creepy fuckers around), and out of fucking nowhere, just when i was away, a big greasy slug just glomp her, needless to say the guy was lurking for 1 hour near her, and the reaction of my friend was, well, harsh.
after that instead of apologising, the fat fuck start calling her a whore, make a scandal and even pushing her.

    dumb move.

few second after, the bastard was pinned downwith arm twisted behind his back and shit
(you know when you grip the neck of someone with the thumb and the forefinger ? it's super effective !)
needless to say, security was called, and he was banned of the con, yay !

but except that, and 2-3 irritative "free hugs" kids groups and stalkers it seems french cons are mostly peaceful event.
(next time, a different approach will be used : steampunk outfit with plenty of metalworking and woodworking for me, fuck yeah blunt force trauma ! :D)

at a con a few weeks back, and there was a friend of a friend who I absolutely hated. She was 13 and a totally slut, probably lost her virginity at 10, and gave blows since she was 9. Anyway she was being her normal slutty self, and one thing they sold there were paddles that said different erotic things in Japanese. Of course she bought one and starts smacking everyone in the ass. Around the end of Saturday she does it to me lightly, but either way i was fucking pissed, i was in the middle of a conversation with a friend and i just snapped at her, letting years of stuff I've wanted to say but never got the time or had the balls to. So i guess by the time i was done she was fucking pissed, but i didn't care. I go back to talking to my friend, who also agreed she was a slut so he thought what I did was right. But from behind she come and smacks my ass again a million times harder, also hitting a bit of my tail bone. She runs off but lucky my lecture to her, got the staffs attention and she was kicked out. After while i was sitting down resting my sore ass one of the staff members told me that they were planning on kicking me out because of all my "fowl language" but the bitch obviously deserved it. Appealingly she also got a 3-day pass. Sunday all of my friends who knew her and half of her friends agreed that what I did was a good thing

My friend left her money on a taxi, so we were waiting in front of the con center and talking to all the taxi drivers, hoping the same one would show up so we could get the money back.
Right when we were about to go in, a chubby, stout, pale guy came up to us. My friend was in her Konata/Kaname wig and then just normal shirt/shorts, for the rave. This guy thought she was another Kaname cosplayer he talked to earlier, and then went on to talk to her like she was his best friend. When he found out it wasn't the same girl, he told us about the contest he was in..."Whoever gets the most huggles wins. I have 153. 22 of which of those ended up with me on the floor, and the girl having her way with me." Before he left, he gave my friend the creepiest hug in the world (snuggled into her shoulders, and said 'nibble nibble nibble'). And she never got her money. DX

I'm curious, when someone is banned from a con, what steps do the staff members take to make sure he doesn't come back, beyond just saying "you cant come back"?

I told this story on this board last year, but oh well, share time.

My horror story was that at awa I had a pretty epic FF12 group. It was so damn epic it restrained our legs to the bare minimum of movement, so if we had to separate we moved in pairs.

I was a fran with wedding ashe at my side. She had to hold her whole dress tails up so it wouldn't get messed up as she walked, and couldn't pick them back up again if she let them fall. I moved in baby steps like a bow legged cowboy (thigh armor) I helped her pick her tails back up after pictures.

okay, now so we're (kinda) walking and then this con staffer goes up to me and says something like "excuse me, but please follow me, I think your costume is too...revealing"

    wut

so we're panicking, but I leave eventually and leave Ashe behind since I didn't want her to have to come with me.

    painfully slow following/panic time

so we get to the con staff station thing, and I'm just there being extremely confused and scared about whether I had to take off this thing I worked really hard on for months as I listen to an extremely awkward conversation about how my quote "rear" and "bossom" were inappropriate as he pointed at me and other things

I guess the main staff dude said I was good, so I turned to leave as soon as I could.

blaaarrg, I was a crying mess, I cry easily, and I don't like to show it, but people kept coming up to me wanting pictures, and I couldn't move, and I was like don't look at me! and

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Must've been pretty bad, usually con staff turns the other cheek.
    Or a really small con.
Either way, that's a disappointing story.

not really a "horror story" but more of a creepy annoyance.

Every year there are always those select handful of creepers who ask for a picture with me at a con, I comply because I am a nice person and figure "hey, it is just a picture." But then instead of just standing next to me, they end up putting their arm around me and generally being a little TOO friendly. There is such a thing as personal space.

I saw that! I was wondering wtf was going on, but didn't really care. Later on in the con, this skanky looking mom came up to me and a friend and told her "You shouldn't be wearing that, it's to revealing." With an emphasis on revealing. She was going on and on about something something kids blah blah, which there was way worse then what she was wearing. And my friend is sensitive, and she almost started bawwing, when I told the lovely slag. "Butt out, please? Just because she has the body you want doesn't mean you can take it out on her." She just scoffed and walked off. I lol'd

Nehhh, my brain isn't working right now . . . until it does, I can post a story I heard from my brother.

At a recent con we went to, we did a big Phoenix Wright group and I was Maya Fey. I went up to the hotel room with my Mia to grab my camera and while I was gone, some guy came up to our Phoenix while he was hanging out with my brother and company.
He had long, blonde hair and is in this weird outfit and he starts pointing out the 'flaws' in Phoenix's costume. Things like, "Your badge just sucks and your hair isn't spikey enough and your suit isn't good, make it better next time."

My friend and my brother got pissed off and asked sarcastically what HE was cosplaying, as his outfit was some stupid shit. He responds, all smart-ass, like, "I'm cosplaying the shop-keeper in EVERY video game."
I just wish that I had been there. I would have been a very angry Maya Fey.

This story is so saddening. What an asshole

Have another story which I have also told before.

Last year I cosplayed L from Death Note (I had written "IM NOT L FUCKERS" on the shirt and stuff like that.).
None of the DN fangirls seemed to read what the shirt said, they just assumed that I was another L cosplayer.
Upon entering the game-room, some DN-cosplayers out in the hall yelled "L!!! HEY L!! OH MY GOD ITS L!!!". I didnt react at first cause I thought it would probably be bad to give them my attention.
So they yelled harder, with a more angry voice "L!!!! L COME OUT HERE!!!!!!".
So I decided to give them just a little attention and then head back to the gameroom.
A fat Light cosplayer asked "Hug??? :DD" so I was nice and gave him(her.) a hug.
Next thing I knew the Light pulled me down on the floor, tried to kiss me and act like she was making out with me, while a bunch of those fangirls and other cosplayers stood around us and yelled "EEEEEEEEE~~ YAAAAOIIIIIIIIIII".

I seriously cant remember how I got away from there alive. I think my friend who had followed me to the gameroom noticed I was missing, so he helped me out.

I worked as an official photographer at a recent event in March.

Seen some people ranging from a dude stalking a Suigintou cosplayer to a man(in his 50's no less) stalk after cosplayers asking for "all sorts" of poses.

Biggest regret of my life ever as an official giving him a photog tag.

Lets set up this scene, I was at a con last year dressed as a sith lord with a 7ft staff saber. For some reason or another there were lots of jenova's witness there at the con and I had the balls to say somthing to the effect of "Sephiroth is lame because he gets his ass kicked all the time by a dude named cloud" very loud so they all could hear it. In retrospect bad move but at the time I didn't care. After that I went outside to check out a lake that was outside of the con center. While I was spacing out at the water at least 20 people followed me outside and surrounded me. I turn around to them all looking at me smiling a really evil smile. They then all put there arms out and start yelling woahhhhh trying to push me in the water. I then pull out my 7ft lightsaber and start swinging and pushing back people untill I broke through there center knocking atleast 3 people into the water while I escaped by jumping up a wall. It was fucking epic I had people applaud the wall jump, That was a good day.

If you want to cosplay, just make sure you dont pick something super-popular, and you should be fine.
I mostly cosplay characters who arent very famous to avoid the insane fans and stalkers.
Works fine for me, the only times I have gotten stalkers and have been contacted by insane fans, are the times I've cosplayed well known and popular characters.
