Spray on deodorant should be used sparingly, since people opt to shower themselves in that shit instead of just taking a shower. Pic very much related.

• Towel (hotel towels can be really disgusting)

If you don't want to pay high prices for food, I'd suggest to bring your own. Bring stuff like sandwiches, lunchables, etc. If you're cosplaying, bring a sewing kit just in case you have to repair your costume.

if you're sharing a room bring an electric powerstrip - figure "X" people all brought their own cell phones, camera battery chargers, laptops, ipods, nintendo ds, ?rechargeable shavers?, etc -- outlets are usually at a premium and it sucks to wake up and discover someone unplugged your cell charger so they could charge their ipod
