Fractale set the bar for failures. You have bombs that typically reach between 250-800 all the time, like most Noitamina series (NTR Rendezvous was 302), but if Aku no Hana was lower than 100, that's almost a new low. In fact, since the show was clearly striving to be different and anti-moe, it will be remembering for how much of a colossal failure it was financially. Change not the pacing, the voice acting, the backgrounds, the writing, or pretty much anything else; just make it look more like the manga and more normally animated, and they've have SHIT upon Aku no Hana as just another pandering otaku moe uguu series. They only paid it any attention because of HOW it looked.

I really liked the anime series but I wish it could have made it to the proper end.

I don't like the original art style of AnH, but that doesn't mean I hold my opinion to be objectively correct. If someone were to ask me why I don't consider it good, I'd probably give my reasons and that's it. The show's direction was one of it's good points really, it did a nice job of setting the atmosphere and the tone espeically when you compare it to much popular titles like Attack on Titan and Valvrave which were all over the fucking place in terms of direction but I guess the fact that they moved at a breakneck pace made it more durable and exciting for most people.

I was interested up until the fifth episode.

That being said, I enjoyed what I watched more or less. It's a shame it tanked so bad.

It was a great series. It started too slow, and from the time he got her gym outfit to the time they fucked up the classroom, they made a lot of mistakes and had that "arc" last way too long.
