do people with chuunibyou really exist? not harmless child fantasy but people with real delusions like in the show. people who really believe they're capable of casting magic and have some supernatural abilities?
>>
Yes. The entire Wicca religion.
>>
You don't think there are creepy people who do legitimate Druid stuff like sitting around in a forest to summon elder gods and casting curses on that one jock that approached them to say hello?

The latter definitely exist. I went to middle school with some kids who acted like their dnd characters

That's not Chuunibyou, that's Denpa. The title of the anime was misleading. Dekomori is Chuuni, Rikka is Denpa.

People believe prayer can cure sick people, although I guess that's different because they don't see themselves as the ones with power.

Lots of vampire kids actually believe in their own shit.
>>

Prayer works slightly better for the one who is sick because it serves as auto therapy most of the time, of course, when my mom broke her hip and my stupid "metaphysic" cousin kept insisting it was nothing and she was just full of fear of pain, she is catholic and for her some of that mumbo jumbo makes sense, it took hours for everyone else to consider rushing her to the hospital.

I believe in a form of Karma, but I can't even think of it as a supernatural force, is just experience, sometimes it seems that karma is a bitch, but since I don't really believe in anything but science I feel the need to find an explanation for my experience with karma.

I used to hope that on my birthday I would be old enough so that people from another world would come and take me away on some kind of adventure. I would learn to master whatever abilities the people of this world were using (usually based on what anime I was watching at the time) and become a hero.

Obviously now I've grown out of hoping for this but it's still shit that I think about when going to sleep or walking along listening to music.

In my case I have something I just call "protective luck". As long as I keep it under control, I can escape from all kinds trouble and accidents. Basically my "luck points" are being used to protect my sorry ass, rather making my lucky in normal terms.

As for my another "ability", I bring misfortune for everyone positively or negatively involved with myself. Parents, "friends", teacher, colleagues, everyone. Those who try to act neutral with me sooner or later tend to act tense (nobody gets away). This one is way too obvious sometimes.

My prot. luck is stronger than the misfortune (at least).

Let me tell you a story about how I became immortal. Back in the BC's I was a young merchant traveling from place to place selling goods. My "favorite" thing to sell was food that didn't go bad right away. There was this one thing that was kinda like hard soup that lasted a pretty damn long time that I could fetch a pretty penny for.
Anyway, one day I set up in Rome, and one of my trading partners found me. We were pretty close. He said he was a part of an alchemist guild and asked if I was interested in immortality. You can imagine how hard I laughed at the faggot. But, I humored him and said yes.
To my surprise, we ended up in the Library of Alexandria a few years later. This was just a few days before it was burned. Our group of alchemists found the elixir of youth, and created the drink (only one of us, the leader, actually read the formula. Thus, I don't know it.) We drank, left, and two days later we heard of a fire. Thanks Caesar.
Now, I say that sarcastically, but I actually did like Caesar. I actually tried to save him by handing him a letter before he was assassinated, telling him what I knew was about to happen. Faggot didn't read it apparently.
Anyway, during the assassination, one of us fucked up and we were found out to be immortal. We didn't want to be killed or worshiped, so we decided to split up and go into "hiding" (not actually hiding, just changing our identities and living somewhere else). I went back to being a merchant for awhile, until I was robbed. Then I became a monk for awhile. I only know what happened to a few of the others, though apparently we are all still alive (so says the ones I do know).
Every few decades I change my identity and go back through school starting with college.

Schizotypal personality disorder, maybe. I don't think schizophrenia is what most people think it is, though.

In any case you can be sure that people with all kinds of funny mental disorders exist.

(You can also debate on what is and isn't a mental "disorder" by the way. The best point at which to draw the line is perhaps "does it cause the person, or people around them, suffering?" Otherwise it's perhaps better to just call it a mental "difference" of some sort.)
