>>
>>89354945 (OP)
Yeah. One of the best cooking anime.
>>
watched episode 1 like 8 years ago. 'twas okay.
>>
>That pic
it's like they drew that then realized it doesn't say anything about the actual show, so they just randomly photoshopped a bunch of pastries on top.

>>
>>89355070
Well, in the end it describes the show quite well. It's pure comedy with some random bits of pastry.
>>
>>89355127
well there's one about rice
good enough

Yep. Shame it got so rushed after the Monacco Cup. Its really a staple show that everyone should give a chance. It really made you feel for some of the antagonists, especially Kaiser and Shadow.

Muteki Kanban Musume was awesome.
>>
Learned so much about bread from this. Between this, Moyashimon and Silver Spoon I can hold a decent conversation about food and food production. Thanks anime!
>>
this anime invented the overreaction of taste
>>
>>89355471
Not really. CBM had people reviving from the dead by tasting.
>>
Fuck you OP. I want a melon pan.
>>
>>89355565
It's not as tasty as show makes you think.
>>
>>89355156
christ that entire television arc was pure shit
>>
>>89355607
That's because you bought the shitty ones. Go to a good bakery in Japan and taste how delicious they are.

>mfw I realized it wasn't melon-flavored bread

Fuck you Japan. You lied to me.
>>
>>89355704
That's because it was anime original.
>>
>>89355565
>>89355847

I've bought melon pan from a bakery in Japan and they are still very overrated.

I want a sushi melon pan

>>89355951
The last time I ate melon pan was ages ago when I was in Japan.
>mfw there are no good bakeries in the Philippines
>BreadTalk is shit
>>
>>89355895
I'm talking about the manga nigga
>>
>>89355888
Seriously? You actually thought it was melon-flavored? Do your homework next time.
>>
>>89355895

Which arc was this? I read the manga long ago up to mid Yakitate 9 then recently watched the entire series and I don't remember anything anime original
>>
>>89356175
MELON bread. Of course I thought it was melon-flavored. Japan makes the weirdest shit, why not melon-flavored bread?
But yeah, I found out ages ago (even before Yakitate). I was still pretty disappointed.
>>
>>89356244
It's called melon bread because of the shape, not the flavor.
>>
>>89356294
I think he realizes this moron. You have to admit it is very confusing
>>
>>89356330
hello /ck/
>>
>>89356294
Yes, anonymous. I'm aware. Stop showcasing your commonplace weeaboo knowledge like it's something you're proud of.
>>
>>89356330
>You have to admit it is very confusing
Just like hot cakes
>It's not a cake
>It's not really that hot
>It looks like a plain waffle
>Still called hot cakes
>>
>>89356559
>hot cakes

what the fuck are those?
Oh wait, you mean pancakes?
>>
>>89356559
hot (pan)cakes

Don't be silly, anonymous
>>
So, what does melon bread taste like?
>>
>>89357152
sweet.
>>
>>89357152
melon pan*
FTFY
>>
>>89357152

Just like they said in the anime it's bread with a cookie on top.
>>
>>89357442
Thanks, this changed my life.
>>
>>89357442
>muh nipponese
>>
>>89357451
but what makes it so special?
>>
>>89357509
>>89357489
thanks, guys like you are the reason why I live
>>
>>89357635
It looks like melon. Well done is tasty for a nice afternoon and It's quite cheap to make.
>>
>>89357686
What western bread does the taste resemble?
>>
>>89357152
Sweet and sugary bread. I ate a lot of them last time I visited Japan. Made sure to eat currypan and yakisobapan too.
>>
>>89357762
Brioche
>>
Did anyone attempt to make some of the recipes they gave you?

Ricecooker bread was actually pretty good. Not nearly as fluffy as they made it out to be but then the anime was incredibly hyperbolic and over the top (which wasn't a bad thing).
>>
>>89357798
Holy shit. And I thought it's something good. Anyway, thank you anon.
>>
>>89357785
currypan tastes like shit. will never eat another one again. Curry rice is the best.
