The general consensus is that it doesn't exist
And good reason too, as the animation is lacking, the art is bland, and the plot is a tv friendly compression of a VN of PORN WITH PLOT

But other than that, it has a good sound department, OST and Seiyuu wise.

So should you watch it out of obligation? No, just stick with the VN
But if you want to learn why it doesn't exist, do so.

If you see it before reading the VN and know nothing about Tsukihime, you might enjoy it.
Otherwise you'll hate it.

OST is great and the dub's actually not bad. Pretty much everything else about it awful.

Tsukihime was one of the earlier anime I'd seen, and I enjoyed it back then. Looking back now it's really bad.

It does seem like a generally known anime, regardless of the quality or of the generally known opinions of it.
For sake of being able to say I've watched it and can agree or disagree with that opinion seems reason enough to watch it.
