So at an Eva panel at an anime convention I went to this weekend, Matt Greenfield, who was the lead writer/director of the ADV English translation and dubbing for NGE, fervently claimed that episodes 25 and 26 reveal that the whole series was a dream.

What are your thoughts /a/?

Never trust a creator's opinion on his own work - he's almost always wrong
This guy isn't quite as bad as the Beboop director who tells everyone the English dub is better

If you listen to the ADV's EoE commentary, you'll realise that the english-language director and producer frequently get things wrong about the film.

In the English language track, where Misato is driving Shinji through the Eva graveyard, the script mixes up Adam and Lillith.

They added comedy sound effects when Misato shoots the soldier under the chin. When the JDF attack a room with a flamethrower, ADV added dialogue of soldiers saying "hit 'em again!", followed by "burn!".

Don't believe anybody associated with ADV 100%.

Yeah, they definitely dropped the ball several times while they were dubbing End of Evangelion.
