It still has that distinct "I'm watching a little kid's show" feeling though. The little songs are flat out embarrassing to watch, the morals at the end too etc, because they are things that are either mindless drivel or common sense and it's an insult to my intelligence to fathom that some people watch it un-ironically. It requires a complete surrender of all rational urges to force yourself to like it because hurr epic maymay etc; there is nothing in it for people like me who have seen many hundreds of animu already and hence have an enormous frame of reference for what shows featuring girls can be like. The ponies are walking tropes, the solution to pretty much all their problems is hurr maguffin aka friendship, and I'm not a furfag and so I find the ponies kind of ugly, at best being cheap imitations of anime type girls in facial structure and little else. It's also overall flat, simple and corny as fuck with the lines/voices (and did I mention the music), and episodic plots with supposedly important things happening are imo a cheap way to cover for bad writing by abdicating responsibility to tell a cohesive story, and also again are for tEh kidDieZ because they are expected to not think too hard about it and just focus on what's happening on-screen right now, at most being expected to remember one week back.

Come to think of it, it makes sense that spaghetti fucks like it, because they are simply unable to see how plain and ordinary it actually is. They go into it expecting Jesus to shit golden ambrosia into their mouths because that's what the clinically retarded fandom has pushed it as on the internet, and being gullible kids not knowing how to really analyze/criticize, nor having a frame of reference for shows featuring girls, buys into the hype hook line and sinker.
